About

Earthworks Studio at primalpotter.com

I am a potter and mixed media artist managing a teaching studio for traditional fine craft. This means I spend time with other artists, a great source of joy and cross-pollination. I sell pots adapted from historical vessels at renfaire and the local guild, and have started making soft sculpture "anthropods" from reclaimed materials to sell from art vending machines. If you have an Anthropod, you can post photos of their adventures on facebook, instagram and twitter #anthropods

I have an MA in Folklore and Anthropology and an MFA in Ceramics, so a lot of my work resonates with history, mythology and domestic daily rituals.

Shop policies

Last updated on May 5, 2017
I take great satisfaction from hard work well done. My goal is to put the useful things I love to make into the hands of people who would love to use them.

I couldn't enjoy my profits if I felt like my customers were misled or mistreated in any way. I have always trusted the people who buy my work, even sending pots home from street fairs on a promise of payment later -- nobody has ever let me down. You can expect the same kind of honesty from me. If you're not happy with a purchase, let me know -- there's always a solution!

Payment
Paypal is the fastest and easiest way to pay. I can sometimes ship your item the same day you buy it, if you use paypal. (You can use a credit card through paypal as well).

If you can't or won't paypal, you can send me a check or money order. I'll ship as soon as it hits my bank. If I wait a really long time and the check never comes, I'll put the piece back up for sale. Please try to let me know if there are delays or you change your mind -- it's no problem. Somebody else will buy it.
Shipping
I can ship quickly and it will arrive in a couple of days. Please let me know if a package is a gift; I'll use fancier wrappings instead of my usual recycled materials.
Refunds and Exchanges
If the package arrives and you're not happy, let me know. You can ship it back and I will refund your purchase price (but not the shipping cost, unless I have goofed up the order somehow.) OK? Talk to me. There's always a solution.
Additional policies and FAQs
I can include a receipt with the purchase, or mail it to you separately if it's a gift. Just let me know.
