A part of one of my many gardens surrounding my small cottage on a beautiful lake in Vermont.

I try to model my creations outdoors in the gardens around my cottage whenever possible. Here I am with one of my shawls

A few times a year I vend my knits at plant sales where I am selling my woodland perennials and Primroses.

We have screened porch on our cottage where I spend time knitting in the summer.
Long cold winters in Vermont
The idea to sell my handknits came to me during the winter a couple of years ago between growing seasons. I work for a specialty nursery that closes for the winter so I go on unemployment for months at a time. This means I have lots of free time on my hands to knit, bake, read, snowshoe, etc. I began to amass a good sized collection of scarves as I really love to knit them. They take a small amount of yarn, knit up quickly and it allows me to experiment with different stitches and yarns without the expense of larger items. It also eliminates the need for swatching to a specific guage. Which I don't like to do!
Now I'm knitting during most of my free time year 'round! During lunch breaks at work, watching TV in the evenings, while at my book group or riding in the car with my darling & patient husband who totally enables my yarn addiction!

Shop policies
I mainly concentrate of small knits such as scarves, shawls, cowls, fingerless gloves, childrens items, etc. Things that don't take lots of yarn & time. There are so many patterns I want to try and limited time to accomplish them!
I hope you enjoy my work and stop back in from time to time to see what I've been up to.
