Self made from the ground up. A total accident resulted in a full time venture on Etsy and now a full fledged company.

2009 -- Where it all began: In February 2009, as the first signs the economy was beginning to decay Jason found himself in a position where he needed to find additional income to be able to pay the monthly bills. He started out seeking additional employment, but soon found himself realizing that the situation was quickly becoming dire as companies were not hiring and he would have to look for alternate options in the meantime.

With a heavy heart, he began to place items on eBay. Digging through the closet he discovered props and costumes that had accumulated from various student films and theater productions over his college years. There were some vintage 50’s dresses and a pair of hand made Sequin Shoes all gathering dust. He figured the dresses were going to be an easy sell, but the shoes he wasn’t too sure about as they were made for a one-night performance and were (in his opinion) far from a quality product.

After a week the dresses sold as expected, but to his surprise there had also been an inquiry on the shoes. It was someone looking for a keepsake to give her daughter as a graduation gift since she had played Dorothy in a high school production of the "Wizard of Oz" that year. As the shoes being sold were too big she asked if they could be made in a smaller size. After agreeing to make the pair in her size he dug out the sequin roll that was purchased for the original pair and purchased some more rhinestones from the craft store to be able to complete the new pair. As he painstakingly glued one strand at a time into the pumps he had what can best be described as a “light-bulb” moment. What if he were to start selling these full time for the additional income that he needed? Researching online, he discovered nobody was selling Custom Sequin Shoes. This was the answer! And so he began to list shoes and people began to find him.

2013 -- Jason met Elizabeth!

2014 --Elizabeth began becoming more involved with the process. She started learning how to make the shoes, checking the inventory and systems and sending the packages. She began experimenting with glitter and rhinestone options on the shoes which we began to incorporate in as options and they started to sell to great reviews.

2015 -- At the beginning of the year the company's sales reached the point where upgrading it from a sole proprietorship to a LLC became a necessity. (Which was great news for us.) It was also growing to where Jason could not do all of the work by himself anymore and was able to hire Elizabeth as a part time employee. Since Jason also still works in the film industry here in Albuquerque, Elizabeth was soon placed in the position of managing the company in his absence in the spring months. This came with it's own learning curve, but also helped the company grow in a lot of ways.

In September Jason proposed and Elizabeth said yes!

2016 -- Once again this was a year of growth where Elizabeth was placed in charge of managing the company while Jason was on set for months at a time. There were many expansions to the line of items, including several new name brands, more glitter colors and additions to the sequin color options.

2017 -- This year was spent much the same as the previous year, but with the added pressure of planning the wedding and honeymoon!
*On September 8th Jason and Elizabeth were married.*
They then took their honeymoon from 09/13-09/27.
They appreciated the overwhelming support and well wishes from their customers along with the patience and understanding on the delay of the orders around this amazing 2-week time frame of their life.

2019 -- Jason and Elizabeth added another company to their busy lives and responsibilities. In addition to this company, they started a photography company to tie into their passions and talents in addition to finding more ways to make ends meet in this increasingly expensive world.

2020/2021 -- This time frame just like the rest of the world was a crazy time frame for Elizabeth and Jason. When the world shut down it gave Elizabeth and Jason time to completely focus on this business without the added distractions of their normal busy lives and other responsibilities. This became a year of experimentation, evolution, and expansion. They partnered with Elizabeth's mom to make and sell custom face masks. She made well over a thousand masks over the time frame of June of 2020 through May of 2021!
New product lines were added including text shoes, more ribbon options, decals and Svgs. They also added to their staff during this tumultuous period. They started with one person before the pandemic hit who worked part time in the office for about a month before everything shut down. That individual then became a remote part time employee, hand building all of the ribbons from home plus other miscellaneous jobs where masked, contactless trades of finished products and re-supplying them with more materials happened twice a week.
In the fall of 2020 another part time employee was added to help with the digital aspects of the company, which they also did and continue to do remotely from their home.
At the beginning of 2021 Elizabeth had to go into the hospital for emergency Gallbladder surgery, which left both Jason and Elizabeth out of commission for the better part of 2 weeks and caused an enormous amount of backlog on the orders as a result.
They realized that they needed more help, especially with the basic glitter items that require a large amount of time and space to complete. They then partnered with another Etsy shop to get assistance with those glitter orders which allowed orders to slowly get caught back up.
In March of 2021 they put out a call for yet another employee to be able to help in the office with the workload since their original remote employee was immune-compromised and was not able to leave the house yet. They found a gem a human being who has massively helped with the every growing business needs.
April saw the addition of one more employee who oversees all of the decal/text work which is an ever-expanding part of the business.
In a year of so much uncertainly this little company has been so fortunate to have an ever growing customer base which is allowing support of other local people. The hope is to be able to upgrade some of the employees into full time status so the needs of the customers can be better met on a consistent basis.

Returns and exchange details
We take great pride in the quality of our products and service. If there is a problem with your item, we will be more than happy to work with you. Please make sure you order the correct sizing based on the shoe you are ordering to avoid any additional costs or time on you receiving your pair. If you are ordering a pair of Name Brand shoes and are not sure of how that brand fits we recommend that you try on a pair prior to purchasing. If you are uncertain of what Model of a specific name brand we use, it should be in the title of the listing or you can ask us and we can confirm for you! If you have any additional questions on which size to order, please let us know.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY PRIOR TO PURCHASE. BY PURCHASING ANY ITEM FROM OUR SHOP YOU AGREE TO ALL POLICIES BELOW:

1. ---- CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS----

a. CANCELLATIONS: For standard made-to-order items, you have 24 hours after payment is received to cancel your order. No exceptions. Orders cancelled within those 24 hours will be refunded in full. Cancellation requests made after 24 hours may not be honored. For custom and/or personalized items, no cancellations are permitted.

b. ORDER AMENDMENTS: You have 48 hours after payment is received to amend your order. Sizing or color changes requested after the initial 48 hours will be subject to a 25% amendment fee. No amendment requests of any kind may be made if order is within 48 hours of scheduled shipment window. Custom and/or personalized orders cannot be amended in any way once payment is received.

c. NEED BY DATE CLARIFICATION: When prompted, the 'Need by date' personalization is to help determine whether or not a rush fee is required for your order. Rush fees are required on all Need By Dates sooner than 18 business days for shoes or 14 business days on ribbons, text orders or decals. This is calculated from the date of purchase.

d. COVID-19 DELAYS: All processing times have increased due to material shortages and shipping delays and other COVID-19 related issues. Please expect delays on your orders. We are doing our very best to get everything out as quickly as possible. Please have patience with us as none of the delays are intentional.

Princess Pumps LLC is not affiliated with any brand. All names, logos, and/or trademarks are property of their respective owners. We do not manufacture any shoes, we simply add embellishments to existing shoes.

2 ---- EXCHANGES AND RETURNS ----

a. Please contact us to request a return or exchange. All exchanges and returns are processed through our secure exchange form. A submission must be made in order to process a return. Items returned without a submission will not be processed.

b. EXCHANGE TIMEFRAME: We offer a seven (7) day exchange/refund grace period from point of confirmed scanned postal delivery. Return requests made after seven (7) days may be eligible for store credit only, minus the exchange fee.

c. ITEM CONDITION: Items must be returned in their original UNWORN condition. No exceptions. Our product tag MUST still be attached and fully intact in order for us to process an Exchange or Refund. If the tag has been removed or ripped we cannot process the shoes as a Return or Exchange regardless of condition. This includes accidental separation. Reattached tags will not be accepted.

d. EXCHANGE FEE: A $5 exchange fee applies on all items over $25.00. Buyer pays for shipping of the returning pair and the replacement pair. Your replacement pair will be once again built with the highest quality possible. Exchanges are processed in approximately 14-20 business days.

e. REFUNDS & RESTOCKING FEES: All orders of $25 or more are subject to a restocking fee of 25% of the item value, with the exception of those that choose a store credit and return them within the 7 day window. Restocking fees excludes rush fees and/or shipping charges. Refunds are issued for 75% of total item value only, shipping costs and/or rush fees are non-refundable. Items returned after the seven (7) day return window may be eligible for store credit only minus the restocking fee.

f. STORE CREDIT: Store credit is equal to 100% total returning item value. No restocking fees are applied. Credits are issued upon item's return in the form of a coupon code. Codes are valid on both Etsy and princesspumps.com and do not expire. Codes are one (1) time use only. Coupon codes have no cash redemption value and cannot be exchanged for cash, nor can any cash advance be made on any portion of the value. Cannot be combined with other offers. Void where prohibited. This option is only available on items that are returned within the 7 day window of being received.

g. NO REFUNDS PERMITTED FOR THE FOLLOWING:
1) Personalized/customized items labeled as CUSTOM.
2) Items with product tag removed or torn
3) Child sized shoes
4) Worn or used items
5) Items marked as CLEARANCE
6) All face mask items and accessories
7) Rush fees, restocking fees or amendment fees

h. RETURN LABELS: Princess Pumps LLC does not provide return labels for any returns or exchanges.

i. FACTORY WARRANTIES: Princess Pumps LLC does not manufacture any base shoes and is not responsible for any manufacturing defects that may occur. All original factory warranties are null and void.
Payment
PAYMENT: Payment is due immediately upon purchase. We accept all electronic payment methods currently offered by Etsy, Inc. No checks or mail orders. We will begin your order once your payment has successfully cleared. Pending payments through Etsy Direct Checkout or E-Check are not included in our assembly timeframes.
Shipping
ORDER DELAYS: Unintentional delays in order processing may occur during periods of high sales volume. Periods include, but are not limited to: March-May and/or October-December. When this occurs, orders will be prioritized based on
1: Rush fee purchased
2: 'Need By Date' inputed into the "Personalization" box
3: Further out need by dates.
We ask that you include a Need By Date on all orders to ensure correct expectations are met no matter when that date is. Any dates purchase with Need by dates that are shorter than the normal processing time will receive a message from us with rush options and correct expectations on their actual processing time. If we do not hear back from you on this message we will process the order with a need by date that matches just outside of the standard processing window. Any items purchased with Need by dates much further out from their normal processing time will be considered lowest priority and will be processed based on that need by date followed by the date purchased once we have caught up on other sooner need by date time frames.

*We strive to get all orders out on time, but we are a small 2-person company, and delays may occur.

LARGE & CUSTOM ORDER PROCESSING: Orders of four (4) or more items are considered 'Large'. Custom Orders include any non-standard colors, brands, sizes and/or decorations by customer request. This may result in increased assembly time. Please allow up to 40 days for assembly on all large and custom orders. "Need By" dates must be clearly specified during ordering. A rush fee may be required if your "Need By" date is too soon on these types of orders.

ADDRESS CHANGES: Etsy Seller Protection Policy mandates shops can only ship to the address provided through their system and not though messages or notes on the order, the address that is attached to your order cannot be changed. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure the address is current, correct and complete. If you find closer to the time of shipping that an address change is needed please contact us to request an Order Amendment link, which we will send directly to you at that point. In this amendment you will be asked to provide the original order number and also the date that we sent the link to you. Once this amendment has been purchased we will make a note on your order from our side to correct the address that we ship the product(s) to you.

RUSH FEES: Unless stated otherwise, all shoes are made to order and require approximately 14-27 business days to build prior to shipment. This timing can vary depending on if we are in one of the busier times noted above or if we have a note in our shop about any order delays. Rush fees are available if you need your order sooner than the stated timeframe. Rush fees are standardized, non refundable, non transferable and non negotiable. 1 rush per item required. Princess Pumps LLC is not responsible for carrier postal delays of any kind. These include but not limited to, mis-shipment, incomplete or incorrect address, failed signature delivery, return to sender parcels, delays due to weather, parcel theft or failed delivery attempts. A note in the 'message to seller' box does not qualify as a rush fee and will not be honored.

CARRIER: All items are shipped by the United States Postal Service. Buyer may request the use of a different carrier PRIOR to purchase. Additional shipping charges may occur if a request of a different carrier is requested.

INTERNATIONAL: Strict limit of 4 pairs per order or a maximum of $400 total purchase price. VAT, import duties, taxes and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. Princess Pumps is not responsible for any delays in customs. Please allow 3-4 weeks on average for delivery, this time frame may be reduced depending on the shipping speed selected.

RETURNED TO SENDER PARCELS: If your parcel is returned to us by the United States Post Office for any reason, you will be required to fill out and submit our Parcel Reshipment Form before your parcel is reshipped. Repurchasing of postage will be required. We will hold your parcel for a maximum of 30 calendar days from the date it was returned. If you do not claim or submit for reshipment within that time, we will consider that parcel abandoned and the contents vested back to Princess Pumps LLC. If you wish to cancel your order as the result of a Returned to Sender parcel, a 25% restocking fee will be assessed.

Rush options: All 1-5 day processing rushes are temporarily suspended due to increased shipping times and decreased availability of some of our standard supplies. The fastest rush that we will be able to guarantee is delivery in 6 or more business days.

Notes on orders: Due to the volume of orders that we receive we cannot guarantee that we will see notes on your order UNLESS you talked to us prior to ordering and we specifically asked you to put that note on your order so we are looking for that information. Just because a request is made on an order does NOT mean that we are automatically able to honor that request, especially since we have a number of add on options that are at an additional cost that you can simply add to your order. So, please contact us PRIOR to ordering if you have anything in particular that you are wanting on your order so we can advise of how to place your order correctly.

PROGRESS PHOTOS: Due to the high volume of orders we receive, progress or completion photos at any stage are unfortunately unavailable.

PROMOTIONAL / PRESS PULL REQUESTS: Since all our products are made to order, only items listed in our 'Ready to Ship' section are available for promotional work and are authorized solely at the discretion of Princess Pumps LLC. Items are on a first come, first serve basis and sizing cannot be guaranteed. Strict limit of 1 promotional item per person with a maximum value of $60.00. A $100 credit card deposit is required for any and all professional press pull items. We do not participate in any paid social media share campaigns or collaborations outside of official Etsy channels.

Sizing details

All shoes, including unisex styles, are listed in USA Women's Sizing. Do not confuse sizing for US Mens, EU, UK or AU.(The only current exception is the "Grooms" shoes)
If you are ordering a pair of name brand shoes and are not sure of how that brand fits we recommend that you try on a pair prior to purchasing.
If you are uncertain of what Model of a specific name brand we use, it should be in the title of the listing or you can ask us and we can confirm for you! If you have any additional questions on which size to order, please let us know.

Why do my shoes look different than the picture?

All our shoes are handmade to order and our photos are stock. Variances may occur in color, shoe style, materials used and assembly technique. As a handmade item, none are uniform, each pair is unique. Please ask questions about appearance prior to purchase.

Other variations in color may occur depending on the screen settings of your device or computer or the metallic nature of the color in question. A warmer or cooler white setting on your screen can change the hue of the color in a photo resulting in an inaccurate representation of color. For example, golds can appear more pink or brown and purples can appear more red or blue. For the most accurate color matching, please order a sample pack.

I need these shoes rushed! How soon can I get them?

We can only rush an order with the purchase of a rush fee. Rush fees are calculated based on how soon you need the shoes. The faster the rush, the higher the price. A note in the 'message to seller' box is not a rush fee and will not be honored. Please ask all questions about rush delivery prior to purchase.

How long do the shoes take to ship?

Every pair of shoes ordered from us is hand made to order. This means we do not have the shoes sitting on a shelf and ready to send out to you the day that they are ordered. After 48 hours (24 hours on custom requests) from purchase we order stock based on type, color and size requested. It can then take up to 2 weeks for the shoes to come to us for sparkle.

The shoes are put in an order based on the different factors; when we received the order, any special date needed by, if a rush was purchased, any embellishments, etc.

All times are approximate, especially during busy times. We request a note be added to your order of stating when you are needing them. Rush fees are required if you want your order sooner than 18-30 business days.

Can you replicate discontinued designs from major shoe companies?

Exact design replication of models, active or discontinued, from any major shoe company is not possible. We do not make any raw materials used in our process including shoes, sequins, glitter, rhinestones, etc. We are limited in colors, shade and technique by whats already available. We can simulate designs but not outright replicate.

How are these shipped? Is the shoebox included?

Shoes are shipped in Priority Mail bubblewrap packaging so we can extend free shipping to you, our customers. With a box, your shoes would have taken up over 50% more space on the delivery truck, a greater negative impact on the environment and double the postage cost which we would then have to charge to you. In some cases we will ship in a postal box but will not include any tissue/gift wrapping paper as it cannot be recycled.

If you are wanting your shoes sent to you with a shoebox included you will need to inform us in advance as there is an additional shipping charge that will need to be applied.

How are they made and will they last?

Sequin shoes are made with a sequin/mesh overlay which is then liquid stitched to the shoe. The glue is strong and cannot be easily removed when tugged on. Nicks and scratches may occur with regular wear.

Glitter shoes are double layered and finished with a starch based clear coat that is water resistant. Some shedding will occur. Glitter is impossible to keep 100% secure. Glitter shoes have a rougher texture due to the nature of glitter itself.

Rhinestone toes are made with loose rhinestones carefully secured into place using strong adhesives. As a shoe can flex, a rhinestone cannot. Shedding may occur with extended wear especially around crease points.

Are duty fees and taxes included in international shipping?

Import duties, taxes and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. Princess Pumps LLC is not responsible for any delays in customs. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery

Can I change my address after I place an order?

We cannot change your address after your order is placed. In order to be covered under the Etsy Seller Protection Policy, we must ship to the address provided by you during checkout. Please make sure this address is accurate, correct and complete at the time of checkout.

What is a rush fee and what does it pay for?

A rush fee pays for several things.
1: It pays for reduced assembly time.
2: It pays for any increased costs for the shoes that we have to pay to get it from a different supplier than our normal ones and potentially increased shipping costs.
3: Depending on when you are needing them and when we are able to complete them it can pay for the added cost for express postage needed to upgrade your shipping to the fastest possible.
Normally taking 14-20 business days to build, a rush fee can reduce this time to as little as a delivery in 6 days, depending on which option you purchase.
