About

Self made from the ground up. A total accident resulted in a full time venture on Etsy and now a full fledged company.

2009 -- Where it all began: In February 2009, as the first signs the economy was beginning to decay Jason found himself in a position where he needed to find additional income to be able to pay the monthly bills. He started out seeking additional employment, but soon found himself realizing that the situation was quickly becoming dire as companies were not hiring and he would have to look for alternate options in the meantime.

With a heavy heart, he began to place items on eBay. Digging through the closet he discovered props and costumes that had accumulated from various student films and theater productions over his college years. There were some vintage 50’s dresses and a pair of hand made Sequin Shoes all gathering dust. He figured the dresses were going to be an easy sell, but the shoes he wasn’t too sure about as they were made for a one-night performance and were (in his opinion) far from a quality product.

After a week the dresses sold as expected, but to his surprise there had also been an inquiry on the shoes. It was someone looking for a keepsake to give her daughter as a graduation gift since she had played Dorothy in a high school production of the "Wizard of Oz" that year. As the shoes being sold were too big she asked if they could be made in a smaller size. After agreeing to make the pair in her size he dug out the sequin roll that was purchased for the original pair and purchased some more rhinestones from the craft store to be able to complete the new pair. As he painstakingly glued one strand at a time into the pumps he had what can best be described as a “light-bulb” moment. What if he were to start selling these full time for the additional income that he needed? Researching online, he discovered nobody was selling Custom Sequin Shoes. This was the answer! And so he began to list shoes and people began to find him.

2013 -- Jason met Elizabeth!

2014 --Elizabeth began becoming more involved with the process. She started learning how to make the shoes, checking the inventory and systems and sending the packages. She began experimenting with glitter and rhinestone options on the shoes which we began to incorporate in as options and they started to sell to great reviews.

2015 -- At the beginning of the year the company's sales reached the point where upgrading it from a sole proprietorship to a LLC became a necessity. (Which was great news for us.) It was also growing to where Jason could not do all of the work by himself anymore and was able to hire Elizabeth as a part time employee. Since Jason also still works in the film industry here in Albuquerque, Elizabeth was soon placed in the position of managing the company in his absence in the spring months. This came with it's own learning curve, but also helped the company grow in a lot of ways.

In September Jason proposed and Elizabeth said yes!

2016 -- Once again this was a year of growth where Elizabeth was placed in charge of managing the company while Jason was on set for months at a time. There were many expansions to the line of items, including several new name brands, more glitter colors and additions to the sequin color options.

2017 -- This year was spent much the same as the previous year, but with the added pressure of planning the wedding and honeymoon!
*On September 8th Jason and Elizabeth were married.*
They then took their honeymoon from 09/13-09/27.
They appreciated the overwhelming support and well wishes from their customers along with the patience and understanding on the delay of the orders around this amazing 2 week time frame of their life.

They look forward to many more years of adding sparkle to the world one shoe at a time!

We take great pride in the quality of our products and service. If there is a problem with your item, we will be more than happy to work with you. Please make sure you order the correct sizing based on the shoe you are ordering to avoid any additional costs or time on you receiving your pair. If you have any questions on which size to order, please let us know!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY PRIOR TO PURCHASE. BY PURCHASING YOU AGREE TO THE POLICIES BELOW:

CANCELLATIONS: You have 48 hours after payment is received to cancel your order without penalty during non-holiday shopping weeks. During holiday shopping weeks, you have 24 hours to cancel without penalty. No exceptions. Orders cancelled within those 48 hours (24 hours during holiday time), buyer will be refunded the full amount of their order. Any cancellation request during non-holiday timeframes AFTER the first 48 hours (24 hours during holiday time) will be subject to a 20% restocking fee unless cancellation occurs within 48 hours of scheduled shipment then restocking fee increases to 40%. For holiday timeframes, see below.

NO CANCELLATIONS ALLOWED FOR THE FOLLOWING: 1: All orders made during the following peak holiday shopping times post 24 hours of payment: Valentines Day 2/1-2/13, Halloween 10/1-10/30, Holidays 11/15-12/24. 2: All Custom and/or personalized orders after payment is received at any time. 3: All Clearance items and samples at any time.

ORDER AMENDMENTS: You have 48 hours after payment is received to amend your order. Sizing or color changes requested after the initial 48 hours will be subject to a $10 amendment fee per request. No amendment requests of any kind may be made if order is within 48 hours of scheduled shipping. Custom and/or personalized orders cannot be amended in any way once payment is received.

EXCHANGE/RETURN TIMEFRAME: Please contact us to request a return. We offer a seven (7) day exchange/refund grace period from point of confirmed scanned postal delivery. Shoes must be returned in their original UNWORN condition within 7 days of scanned postal delivery. NO EXCEPTIONS (so please make sure you are home when the shoes are scheduled to arrive). Our white "Sparkled Just for You!" tag MUST still be attached in order for us to process an Exchange or Refund. If the tag has been removed we can no longer process the shoes as a Return or Exchange regardless of condition.

EXCHANGE FEE: Buyer pays for shipping of the returning pair and the replacement pair, plus a $5 exchange fee. Your replacement pair will be once again built with the highest quality possible in the same processing time time unless requested with a shorter time frame.

REFUNDS AND RESTOCKING FEES: Orders that have been completed and returned in the afore mentioned time frame and condition can be issued a refund for cost of the item only, shipping costs cannot be refunded after the item has shipped. All orders of $25 or more are subject to a restocking fee of 15% of the item value.

NO REFUNDS PERMITTED FOR THE FOLLOWING: Items listed as 'Bargains/Clearance', 'Youth' or any 'Personalized Orders' with individual customizations (i.e. rhinestones, ankle ribbons, names, dates, custom sizing, non-standard colors or brands). No refunds or exchanges will be permitted on these purchases. Rush fees are non refundable. We are not responsible for electronic warranties. We will test them prior to shipping to ensure that they work for you. Princess Pumps LLC does not manufacture any base shoes and cannot repair any manufacturing defects that may occur. All factory warranties are null and void.
Payment
PAYMENT: Payment is due immediately upon purchase. We accept all electronic payment methods currently offered by Etsy, Inc. No checks or mail orders. We will begin your order once your payment has successfully cleared. Pending payments through Etsy Direct Checkout or E-Check processing timeframes are not included in our assembly timeframes.
Shipping
SHIPPING: All shipping timeframes are approximate (14-20 days on made to order shoes, 1-2 days on ready to ship items) or in the time frame discussed in individual custom orders. These times are approximate and may increase during busier times of the year. If you need your order by a specific date please let us know immediately. If your date is sooner than 14 days, a rush fee is required.

ADDRESS CHANGES: Etsy Seller Protection Policy mandates shops can only ship to address provided at checkout, this address cannot be changed. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure the address is current, correct and complete. You must cancel your order and repurchase with the correct address in order to change your shipping address. This cancellation request must adhere to the above mentioned Cancellation Policy.

RUSH FEES: Unless stated otherwise, all shoes are made to order and require approximately 14-20 days to build prior to shipment. Rush fees are available if you need your order sooner than the stated timeframe. Rush fees are standardized, non refundable, non transferable and non negotiable. 1 rush per item required. Princess Pumps LLC is not responsible for carrier postal delays of any kind. These include but not limited to, mis-shipment, incomplete or incorrect address, failed signature delivery, return to sender parcels, delays due to weather, parcel theft or failed delivery attempts. A note in the 'message to seller' box does not qualify as a rush fee.

CARRIER: All items are shipped domestically by USPS 2-5 day Priority Mail. All international items are shipped standard via USPS International 1st Class. USPS Priority International and USPS Express International are available at additional cost, Please let us know PRIOR to purchase if you are needing them shipped to you express or rushed in any way..

INTERNATIONAL: Strict limit of 4 pairs per order or a maximum of $400 total purchase price. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. Princess Pumps is not responsible for any delays in customs. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.

RETURNED TO SENDER PARCELS: If your parcel is returned to us by the United States Post Office for any reason, you will be required to fill out and submit our Parcel Reshipment Form before your parcel is reshipped. Repurchasing of postage may be required. We will hold your parcel for a maximum of 30 calendar days from the date it was returned. If you do not claim or submit for reshipment within that time, we will consider that parcel abandoned and the contents vested back to Princess Pumps LLC.

PROMOTIONAL / PRESS PULL REQUESTS: Since all our products are made to order, only items listed in our 'Ready to Ship' section are available for promotional work and are authorized solely at the discretion of Princess Pumps LLC. Items are on a first come, first serve basis and sizing cannot be guaranteed. Strict limit of 1 promotional item per person with a maximum value of $60.00. A $100 credit card deposit is required for any and all professional press pull items.

Sizing details

All shoes, including unisex styles, are listed in USA Women's Sizing. Do not confuse sizing for US Mens, EU, UK or AU. Please ask all sizing related questions prior to purchase. A question asked in the 'note to seller' box may not be answered.

Why do my shoes look different than the picture?

All our shoes are handmade to order and our photos are stock. Variances may occur in color, shoe style, materials used and assembly technique. As a handmade item, none are uniform, each pair is unique. Please all questions about appearance prior to purchase.

Other variations in color may occur depending on the screen settings of your device or computer and the metallic nature of the color in question. A warmer or cooler white setting on your screen can change the hue of the color in a photo resulting in an inaccurate representation of color. For example, golds can appear more pink or brown and purples can appear more red or blue. For the most accurate color matching, please order a sample pack.

I need these shoes rushed! How soon can I get them?

We can only rush an order with the purchase of a rush fee. Rush fees are calculated based on how soon you need the shoes. The faster the rush, the higher the price. A note in the 'message to seller' box is not a rush fee and will not be honored. Please ask all questions about rush delivery prior to purchase.

Why haven't my shoes shipped?

Except for 'ready to ship', every pair of shoes ordered from us is hand made to order. This means we do not have the shoes sitting on a shelf and ready to send out to you the day that they are ordered. After 48 hours from purchase we order stock based on type, color and size requested.

It can then take up to a week for the shoes to come to us for sparkle.

The shoes are put in an order based on the different factors; when we received the order, any special date needed by, if a rush was purchased, any embellishments, etc.

All assembly times are approximate. We request a note be added to your order of stating when you are needing them. Rush fees are required if you want your order sooner than 14-20 days.

I saw a photo on Pinterest/Polyvore. Can I have the exact pair in that picture?

Variations exist based on availability of styles and materials. Photos seen on Pinterest, Polyvore, LookBook, etc. may be several years old and may showcase designs that are no longer available. We cannot guarantee availability of any designs not currently listed in our shop.

Is the shoebox included?

No. With a shoebox, your shoes would have taken up over 50% more space on the delivery truck, a greater negative impact on the environment. Thank you for allowing us to help the environment, one pair at a time.

Durability...will they last?

The shoes are made with a very flexible liquid stitch to allow full mobility of the foot. The sequins are attached to a fabric prior to placing on the shoe, which makes them very sturdy. The glue is strong and cannot be easily removed when tugged on. Naturally nicks may occur if one stumbles and falls late one night on the town. However the shoes are easily repairable.

Glitter shoes are double layered and finished with a non-flaking clear coat that is water resistant. Naturally, just like with your regular shoes if you kick one against each other it can cause a scuff mark in the material.

Please keep in mind that these are still a handmade item, so please wear them with care so they will last for years! :)

Are duty fees and taxes included in international shipping?

Import duties, taxes and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. We cannot change your address after your order is placed. In order to be covered under the Etsy Seller Protection Policy, we must ship to the address provided by you during checkout. Please make sure this address is accurate, correct and complete at the time of checkout.
