Announcement    Print & Clay is a line of pop-culture themed ceramic objects- mugs, travel cups, yarn bowls and more- created to bring the joy of your favorite shows, movies, and memes into your every day life. Each piece is slip-cast white earthenware from plaster molds, which makes them affordable and consistent, then hand printed and glazed by Jenna in her studio and fired to over 1800º to make them food-safe. Each design is with pen, ink, and letterpress, then turned into a print via Photoshop and the magic of science (photo-sensitive polymer acrylic) to create a “stamp”. Ceramic ink is used to print the stamps onto the bisque pieces, each one leaving a slightly distinct print that is the undeniable mark of hand-made art. No slap and stick decals here, boys and girls and gender-neutral loves, just nostalgia, puns, and a whole lot of good times.

Print & Clay brings us together

Print & Clay started in 2014, when Amanda's friends could no longer afford her fancy porcelain work. Jenna joined in 2016 when after they met in Seattle. Immediately recognizing each other as familiar souls, Jenna quickly joined the shop. She managed the shop while Amanda did a research grant in Europe, and is now going to be taking over production full-time, as she recently bought a house with an attached studio and Amanda has been working out of an apartment kitchen while going back to grad school. In other words, Jenna is what's going to keep this train on the track!

We'll both still be around, making awful puns, discussing the Marvel multi-verse and commiserating about gardening, people being dumb, and why we need fifteen different streaming services when Netflix and Hulu used to be PLENTY!!!!

Howdy ho neighbor/neighborette! Thank you for taking the time to look around my shop. Print & Clay is my slipcast ceramic pop-culture ware store- designed and manufactured to be fun and fun for your wallet! Everything is lead-free and food safe unless marked otherwise. It is also dishwasher-safe. If you have any questions regarding my process or the finished pieces, feel free to contact me via Etsy, or through email (printandclay@gmail.com).

A microwave-safe disclaimer: My work is fine for re-heating water-based items and drinks. But, really, all pottery will weaken over time with prolonged microwave-use, eventually leading to cracking. So for the sake of keeping your pottery for many years, avoid the microwave. Same goes for dishwashers- they are safe, but your pieces will last much longer with handwashing.

Custom orders are welcome, within reason and current capabilities.

As always, remember, Rule #1. Cardio. Rule #2. Doubletap.

Shipping
WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH YOUR SHIPPING COSTS?

Pottery is fragile AND heavy.

Also shipping rates continue to go up. A lot. So if prices seem steeper than usual, it's everywhere.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE AN ITEM?
Ready made items will head out in 3-5 business days. I try to save gas and combine trips so I try to wait for a couple of items to head out before making the trip out. I ship USPS Priority Mail- Canada ship time is around 2.5 weeks, everywhere else is inexact and unfortunately not accurately predictable.

When your item ships, Etsy will send a message with any tracking info available. I will not contact you other than that email--but I do want to let you know I appreciate your purchase!

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
International Shipping is a bit tricky because the only affordable option for heavier items like mine is First Class International Mail--which does not provide a tracking number to some countries--so if you are an International customer you will need to be a bit patient. On average it takes about 21 business days to arrive but at busy times it can be much longer. I can provide proof of shipment but not a tracking number for some countries. Please let your local postal carrier know you are expecting a package. In our experience the majority of packages are not received because they went unclaimed at customs.

International customers are responsible for their country's taxes, tariffs and customs fees (VAT). Please do not ask me to mark a purchase as a gift in order to avoid paying customs fees. I like watching Orange is the New Black, not living it.

International Customers: please note that there have been several changes in shipping procedures in many countries lately--SPECIFICALLY: many countries now require that we include a duplicate invoice along with a customs form on the outside of any package. There is no way around this, and if we do not do this you may not receive your parcel. Please do not request me to leave the contents of the box a secret at checkout-I cannot do this.

PROBLEM WITH MY ADDRESS
Customers who enter an incorrect address at checkout will be responsible for all costs associated with re-shipment. So sorry! If you have a problem with an order that needs immediate attention please convo or email me at printandclay (@) gmail.com with the subject line WRONG ADDRESS in caps.

SENDING IT AS A GIFT
Would you like to ship this to someone as a gift? No problem! Etsy will provide a field where you can enter the shipping address you would like the package to go to. Just make sure to leave me a message at the same time saying what you would like a gift message to read. I do not gift wrap- I bubble wrap. I will be happy to include your message though!

Information I Collect

To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, mailing address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.
Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) Providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
• Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
• Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

How Long I Store Your Information

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
• Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
• Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
• Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
• Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

How to Contact Me

For purposes of EU data protection law, I, Jenna Isbell, am the data controller of your personal information. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact me at printandclay [!at] gmail.com.
