Announcement
For most of the roving and yarn colors I do have more available, just ask. Also if you are looking for a particular color I may be willing to custom dye a batch.
I am a vendor at a couple wool shows, The WI State Fair and The WI Sheep and Wool Festival.
All wool and mohair is from local sheep and goats.
All wool, roving and yarn is kept in a smoke-free home and the mill I use is smoke-free.

5 out of 5 starsOh my goodness this is amazing! It is just like the photos, and absolutely amazing in person. This has surpassed all my expectations, and my sister was thrilled that I let her have half (she has already started spinning it).

Shetland sheep are a small, fine boned, primitive (short-tailed) breed of sheep. They have 11 natural colors and a range of wool from very fine, silky and crimpy to a longer double coated fleece. Shetland wool is some of the finest among the UK breeds. It is soft, yet strong and durable, and is a delight to spin. Traditionally, the finest of the Shetland yarns, spun from selected neck wool, were knit into lace shawls so fine they could be drawn through a wedding ring! I am breeding for fine, crimpy, silky fleeced Shetlands and enjoy white as well as the natural colors.
Angora goats are raised primarily for the production of mohair, a specialty natural fiber. Angora goats weight 125-175 pounds & mature does 80-100 pounds, considerably less than other goat breeds. I am breeding for soft locky mohair in both colored and white goats.
Coopworth sheep (breed I use for a crossing sire) are a New Zealand breed developed for production from Romneys and Border Leicesters. Coopworths have a longwool type fleece and the fleece weights 7-12# skirted. The fleece ranges from a med. fine crimpy fleece to a strong, super lustrous locky fleece. The Shetland X Coopworth sheep seem to have a more Coopworth style fleece ranging from med. fine and crimpy to very locky and lustrous. Both the Coopworth and Shetland X Coopworth have a staple of 6-9 in. (most are around 7 in.)
