I have been a fan of Pumphouse Studios since I first discovered Julia’s work at a pottery show in Southern Oregon. The cat plate is exactly right and has a place of honor on my wall.

Quails are “a thing” for me so I was delighted for the opportunity to acquire such an exceptional dish from one of my favorite artists. As always, it was even better in person and was shipped quickly and safely.

As noted in my other reviews, each piece is wonderful in its own right. The photographs are of the actual piece and they’re more wonderful in person than they are in the photos.

I am a massive fan of Julia’s work. The quality is exceptional, the design is both extraordinary and whimsical, and the wood block style is surpassingly unique. Because I am also a former student of her art teacher mother, each of the pieces I have acquired feel even more personal and I will treasure them always. Having recently acquired my forever home in NM, I am able to display them where I can see them all through the day. They bring me great joy.

I love the artist's creative interpretation of childhood stories and experiences. The Quail plate is wonderful art, colorful and graphic and expertly created. It has a place of honor on my fireplace mantel where the Quail stands at watch, looking out for us. The package arrived decorated with a hand drawn Bluebird of Happiness to wing it on its way!
