punksrus: a love story
Érase una vez... una correctora de estilo vio venir el desastre y se dio cuenta de que tenía que diversificar sus actividades para mantener a su sufrido esposo y a sus variopintas mascotas con el estilo de vida al que se habían acostumbrado. Vender sus tesoros y recorrer el campo en busca de objetos cada vez más inusuales e interesantes se convirtió en su misión. Con su fiel chupacabras, se aventuró en subastas y mercadillos en busca de lo brillante y reluciente, lo viejo y oxidado, lo extraño y maravilloso. Y así nació Punksrus y el lápiz rojo quedó muerto. Fin... bueno, en realidad no, ¡es solo el principio!
El arte del mosaico es mi verdadera pasión. Mi obra ha viajado por todo el mundo y ha aparecido en numerosas colecciones. Espero que te tomes un tiempo para verla. Me encanta usar mis hallazgos de maneras inusuales para llevar mi arte en diferentes direcciones.
Nunca se sabe qué se puede encontrar en Punksrus. No tenemos proveedores; tenemos que buscar nuestro inventario en subastas y mercadillos. ¡Esto puede ser emocionante y aterrador a la vez! Once upon a time...a copy editor saw the writing on the wall and realized she had to branch out to keep herself, her long suffering husband, and her assorted pets in the lifestyle they had become accustomed. Selling her treasures and searching the countryside for more and more unusual and interesting items became her quest. With her trusted chupacabra, she braved auctions and flea markets looking for the bright and shiny, the old and rusty, the weird and wonderful. And so Punksrus was born and the red pencil was dead. The End...not really, it’s just the beginning!!!
Mosaic art is my true love. My work has travelled the world and been featured in many treasuries. I hope you take some time to check it out. I adore using my finds in unusual ways to take my art in different directions.
You never know what you will find at Punksrus. We do not have suppliers, we have to go out and find our inventory at auctions and flea markets. This can be exciting and terrifying! I love when my customers share what they’ve made with my items and will gladly share them on my Facebook page.
