USA POSTAL ISSUES:
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has advised of operational difficulties at the Chicago port of entry which may result in delay to the delivery of international mail from other countries including some Royal Mail items. US Zip codes affected are, 4xxxx, 5xxxx,6xxxx and 7xxxx. Multiple local logistical and customs issues have caused this situation and USPS are working with all concerned to return services to normal. Delays of up to 8 weeks are being recorded for delivery.

CANADA POSTAL ISSUES:
Unfortunately, the issues in Vancouver continue for deliveries in the postcode areas T, U, V, W and Y, with delays of a further 3-4 weeks expected.

Australia:

We have been informed due to cyclone Debbie across North Queensland all postal services will be affected. The postcodes affected are 4740-4741, 4750-4751 and 4798-4820.

Update: 10 April
We've been informed that following cyclone Debbie the weather situation has improved significantly and all mail services are now back to normal.

Czech Republic:

We have been informed that due to heavy snowfall, that delays to mail deliveries are likely may occur in the following areas: 790xx, 770xx, 779xx and 792xx.

Ecuador:

We've been advised that due to winter weather conditions, several roads have collapsed and there are floods in parts Ecuador. As a result of this there will be delays in the delivery of mail. The worst affected areas are: Costa: El Oro, Guayas. Sierra: Bolívar, Chimborazo, Pichincha, Azuay. Amazonia: Zamora Chinchipe, Sucumbíos.

Peru:

Following on from the severe flooding and landslides, we have been informed that the delivery of postal items has been re-established in the following areas: Ancash 02001, Arequipa 04001, Cajamarca 06001, Chaclacayo 15472, Chiclayo 14001, Chosica 15457, Huánuco 10001, Huarochiri 15556, Ica 11001, Puerto Maldonado 17001, San Martin 22201, Tumbes 24001. Delivery is still being affected in Piura 20001. However, delivery in this region is expected to be back to normal in the next few days.

Vanuatu:

We have been informed that Cyclone Donna, a category 5 storm, is affecting the whole of Vanuatu. Airlines have suspended all flights. The receipt and dispatch of letter post, parcel post and EMS items has been suspended until the situation returns to normal.

NO SERVICE to:
•Ukraine (Crimea, Sevastapol, Donetsk and Luhansk Oblast), Guatemala, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen

Handmade just for you

I have been creating jewellery for a few years now. It started off as a hobby for myself and family only - as well as a way to keep myself busy, following the birth of my second child in July 2010. I had missed a lot of the early years of my older child's formative years, due to the need to get back to work and help contribute to the family finances. The second time around (some ten years later), we were in a better position, and I was able to become a full time mum, yet found myself still needing something to keep me occupied, during the quiet times.

My passion started with chainmaille and sterling silver. I love that it starts off as just a pile of rings on a table and after a few hours of weaving, the tiny rings transform into intricate and beautiful pieces of jewellery. What made this perfect for me, was that I could easily drop what I was making, to meet the demands of a baby, and be able to pick up where I had left off, at a later stage.

In December 2012, I was finally convinced to sell my jewellery, so decided to take a brave step and open my shop here on Etsy.

Over the years, I have taught myself the skills I needed to expand my range, putting any small profits back into the business, buying new tools and expanding my workspace. I love exploring new materials, which spurs my passion to learn new techniques, allowing me to be more creative with my jewellery. I make every effort to ensure that the same care and attention to detail is put in to every piece that I produce and that they are made to the highest quality. In order for you to see this for yourself, I try and get some really close up shots of my jewellery.

I am a stay-at-home mum living in London with my husband and our two boys; aged 16 and 6. Jewellery making for me takes place after they have all been packed off to bed and I get some peace and quiet for myself....with a cup of tea!

Payment
I accept payment via Direct Checkout, Paypal, Etsy Giftcard and all major credit /debit cards on all orders. Please make payment at the time of purchase. If no payment is received after 7 working days, the transaction will unfortunately be cancelled.

You can pay using the Paypal checkout even if you don't have a Paypal account. Simply click 'pay with credit/debit card' after selecting Paypal as your chosen method of payment.

If you wish to have something custom made to your requirements, please feel free to contact me.

I will only place orders on my list of items to be made, after payments have cleared.
Shipping
My items are either carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper before being placed in an organza pouch, or boxed. They are then sealed in an airtight plastic bag and mailed in a padded envelope to ensure that your item arrives in perfect condition.

Gift boxes are available on request at no extra cost - just leave a 'Note to Seller' on checkout.

To save on costs (and the environment!) multiple orders will usually be placed in one pouch/box where possible, unless on individual request.

All orders are sent by Royal Mail and are insured, in the event that the package is lost or damaged en-route. If an item has not reached you within the standard stated delivery period (see below) after being marked as despatched, or is damaged upon receipt, please contact me straightaway. This will allow me to start the claims process quickly. For items which are damaged in transit, Royal Mail will require the item to kept, so that they can assess the damage. Photographs taken as soon as possible after arrival will be very helpful in expediting the claim.

UK ORDERS:

To keep postage costs as low as possible, UK packages are split into three categories.

Orders under £50 will be sent by First Class post. Please note that this service is NOT Tracked and insurance on these items are capped to £20.00. This is the maximum amount that will be paid out in event of lost or damaged items. It is advised to upgrade to one of the tracked services for items of greater value than this for full cover.

Orders between £50 and £100 will be sent by Royal Mail Signed For™ 1st Class and all orders over £100 will be sent by Special Delivery Guaranteed™. Please be aware that someone will need to be available to sign for your package.

Royal Mail will not check where the item is, give refunds or give compensation until 15 working days after the item was posted and do not class an item as lost or delayed before this time period has ended. Therefore, you MUST allow up to 15 working days for the item to arrive if your are located within the UK.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

I charge two rates for all international orders to reflect the level of insurance.

All orders under £100 will be sent using Royal Mail International Standard unless an upgrade is purchased. Please note that this service is NOT Tracked and insurance on these items are capped to £20.00. This is the maximum amount that will be paid out in event of lost or damaged items. It is advised to upgrade to the International Tracked Service for items of greater value than this for full cover.

Orders over £100 are sent by either International Tracked (or International Tracked & Signed, where available).

If you purchase a Shipping Upgrade, your item will be sent via International Tracked & Signed where available or International Tracked. Both have enhanced insurance cover and the latter will always require a signature upon delivery. Typical delivery times for these services are as follows:

Western Europe: 3-5 working days.
Everywhere else: 5-7 working days.

Please note that delivery times are not guaranteed and may vary depending on your exact location, customs regulations and the weather.

Royal Mail will not check where the item is, give refunds or give compensation until 25 working days after the item was posted and do not class an item as lost or delayed before this time period has ended. Therefore, you MUST allow up to 25 working days for the item to arrive if your are located outside of the UK, before contacting me regarding its whereabouts. Royal Mail may take a further 25 working days to complete their investigations. I have no control over items, once they have been handed over to the Post Office, and I have no means to either expedite the shipping or investigation processes, past this point.

Non-EU customers are responsible for any duty, taxes or other fees that may be charged and whether any import restrictions may be in effect, under their local customs regulations. Please check with your local customs office to see if there are likely to be any duties to be paid on your order or if the item is liable to be seized, prior to purchase. If you need any assistance in this regard, please don't hesitate to contact me, and I will be happy to try and help.

International Customs Forms are always completed in compliance with the law. Please do not ask me to mark items as 'gift' or to change the value of the item purchased on the form.
Refunds and Exchanges
Goods made to the consumer’s specifications, are subject to my Custom Order Return Policies (see below). This includes all rings (which are sized to order) and items which have been personalised in some way, e.g. with additional struck marks or variations to style.

'Goods made to the consumer’s specifications’ means non-prefabricated goods made on the basis of an individual choice of or decision by the consumer.
Earrings are not returnable, due to sanitary reasons.

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

I am very proud of the quality and workmanship of my pieces and it is very important to me that you are completely happy with anything you buy from me. If; however, the item does not completely meet your expectations when you receive it, then I will happily replace it, or issue a refund. This cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform me of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement. Please contact me via an Etsy conversation in the first instance, to do so. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired in this way.

If you do decide to return an item for replacement/refund, you must not delay the return and must send the goods back not later than 14 days after the day on which you informed me of your cancellation. Items must be returned unworn and in their original packaging. You must send the goods back to my contact address [Purana, 2 High Birch Court, 77-79 Park Road, New Barnet, London, EN4 9QG, UK] at your own cost. It is advisable to use a tracked/insured method if you need to return an item to me.

I may withhold reimbursement until I have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

Refund of the initial postage charge will be made at the standard rate. It will not cover any additional upgrades purchased by you, such as 48 hour despatch or tracked/signed for services.

Effects of Cancellation:

If you cancel this contract, I will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by me).

I may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

I will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than –
(a) 14 days after the day I receive back from you any goods supplied, or
(b) (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
(c) if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which I am informed about your decision to cancel this contract.

I will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
Additional policies and FAQs
All items are handmade by me to order and have a turnaround time of 7-10 working days. Need it faster? There are Rush Order options on many items which will reduce this turnaround time to 2 working days. Because of spatial limitations on the website, this is listed as '48 hour despatch' under shipping upgrades.

Please note: this does not mean that I will despatch your item exactly 48 hours after you place your order. I am reliant on the Post Office, and cannot ship items when it is closed (e.g. late at night, over the weekend or Bank Holidays). Neither does it mean that you will receive your items 48 hours after you place your order. Postal times remain the same as detailed in the Delivery section of these Policies and are out of my jurisdiction.

Most of my items can be resized to your requirements. Please convo me if you wish to have any alterations made, longer, shorter, thicker, thinner. (This may result in a higher fee). Many can also be resized to anklet and necklace length if you wish.

If there is an item which you would like to purchase, but don't see it in my shop, please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements. If after a discussion, you wish to commission me to make a piece for you, then I will set up a 'Custom Order' for you.

CUSTOM ORDER POLICIES:

Lead times for custom orders will naturally vary, dependant on the nature of each individual request. Usually, custom orders will be despatched approximately 7-14 days after payment has cleared; however, I will try and get them to you as soon as possible. On rare occasions when this may take longer (sourcing of materials/intricate time-intensive workmanship), a realistic delivery time will be agreed by both parties prior to payment.

Payment in full is due up front for all orders. Once the details of a custom order have been finalised and payment made, any subsequent alterations may be subject to a further charge. This will be dependent on additional time required to complete the item and/or materials used.

I will generally provide a photograph of the completed item prior to despatch for final approval and aim to keep you updated throughout the process.

I am very proud of the quality and workmanship of my pieces and it is very important to me that you are completely happy with anything you buy from me. If; however, the item does not completely meet your expectations when you receive it, then I will happily work with you to create your perfect piece to your satisfaction at no further cost. However, if this requires a significant alteration to the scope of the original custom order listing, then dependant on the additional work and/or materials required, there may be a further reasonable charge.

Where this is not suitable resolution, then I will happily issue a refund on the terms stipulated below.

Custom Order Returns Policy:

Once details have been finalised and payment for works has been made, 50% of the purchase price becomes a non-refundable deposit. The remaining 50% will be refunded if you decide to cancel the transaction or return the custom-made item and will not include the original shipping charge paid.

You have 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods, to effect a cancellation and request a refund.

MEASURING FOR A RING:

There are many different home-made methods for measuring your ring size. In practise, I have found that these are not very accurate. I therefore advise people to obtain their ring size by visiting a local jeweller for a professional sizing. This service only takes a few minutes and is usually free of charge. 

From time to time rings are ordered in the wrong size. If this happens, I am usually happy to resize them for free, although in some circumstances, an additional charge may be payable. You will be expected to pay for postage at the relevant cost as charged by Royal Mail in either case. Please contact me via conversation in this event.

MEASURING FOR A BRACELET:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring for a bracelet is more forgiving than for rings, and can be done at home. Use a flexible tape measure or a piece of paper. Wrap around the wrist on which you plan to wear your bracelet. Make a note of the number at the point where the tape meets the 0, or mark where the end part meets the paper and then flatten out against a ruler to get the length. To ensure the bracelet fits comfortably, take your wrist measurement and add about 1 inch, depending on the bracelet. A thin weighted bracelet would only need 1 inch, while a chunkier bracelet might need about 1 1/2 inches. You can then add or subtract extra length according to whether you prefer a loose, exact or tight fit. This obviously varies depending on your preferred fit, but is a safe rule of thumb.
