My story...

Welcome to Pure and Simple Charm where I am constantly inspired by nature to create new crafts including fused glass, bath and body products, tote bags and an assortment of other handcrafted goodies!
My name is Ashley and I am the owner of Pure and Simple Charm. I have been a crafter since 2012 and I am proud to say a small business owner since opening my shop in February 2014. Over this time, Pure and Simple Charm has evolved to include products not only created by myself, but also my mother and aunt. We are truly a family run business and we love what we offer our customers.
My shop was originally created simply because I needed more space! I love fusing glass, and over time I created such a collection of art I realized I either needed to get a larger studio space or start sharing my work with the general public. When I did open our doors, online and through farmers markets, I was pleasantly surprised by the positive response and have been adding product lines ever since!
One of my core business values is to up cycle and preserve our environment as much as possible. This is one of the reasons I absolutely love my line of up cycled grain tote bags. They are a great way to keep plastic out of landfills and make extremely durable bags for groceries and sundries. You might notice that my shop is very varied, and another core business value I try to keep is always expanding creativity. As a crafter, I love the ability to learn new techniques, and I want to share that with my customers. At the moment, I am expanding my creativity by experimenting with sewing, but I will be honest, I have found I prefer to do my own thing rather than follow set patterns!
Most of my work is done in the very early morning, or very late night as during the day I am busy chasing around my youngest employee in training (my 4 year old son). All kidding aside, he is not an employee but he is a great source of inspiration for me. I hope you have enjoyed learning about my shop, and please be sure to check back often as my inspiration is always resulting in new and interesting additions!
