Love this little gingerbread house!
Tiny Joyous Things
Puttering started when my childhood dollhouse came back into my possession at the age of 28. On a whim, I made a miniature cheeseburger with a side of fries. It was so stinking adorable, I just had to make other stuff.
All my creations are made by hand from start to finish. It involves the meticulous mixing of clays to get the most realistic shades possible, and lots of hand-sculpting various elements without the use of store-bought molds.
I enjoy the whole process! From gathering inspiration and studying real-life objects, to problem solving and experimenting to get the most realistic looking miniatures possible. When an item is ready for listing, I love setting up all the little scenes to photograph. It all takes place in my tiny home.
My favorite thing is hearing, "Wait, that's not real?!"

Nicol has a keen eye for detail, a delicate hand, and is a complete nerd about efficiency. In addition to helping with Puttering, she is a soap maker, and professional domestic assistant. She and Heather live in a tiny space, and make tiny things.
My name is Heather. I specialize in modern 1/6th scale goodies for playscale dolls such as Blythe and Momoko, and I am beginning to branch out into 1/12th scale as well. In the studio in my little Orange Door Cottage, I work to create stylish, realistic wee little things and hope they will bring you joy.

Additional policies and FAQs
I meticulously study and measure real-life items before re-creating them in miniature. When I make 1/6th [playscale] items, I go not just by what the exact calculation is, but by what looks proportional in my dolls' hands. Because playscale dolls are usually proportioned differently than we are, often an exact 1/6th measurement appears much too big. I take that into consideration because I want your items to look as realistic as possible.
I am very happy to accept custom orders in 1/6th scale, and other scales as well. To request a custom item, send me an Etsy message. Current wait time is approximately 2-3 weeks, depending on the scale and detail of your order. Once your order is complete, I will photograph it and send you a link to your custom listing. From there, you will be able to purchase your item/s.
