About

Teen with autism learns, while doing what he loves

George loves jigsaw puzzles with an intensity only a person with autism can muster. With his first puzzle completed at 8 months of age, George sped through 1000-piece puzzles as a tiny tyke of 4. Now a teen, he loves to earn his own money. When you purchase a Puzzle By George, you help George learn entrepreneurial and life skills, build confidence, and fund his puzzle-a-day passion. And for you? The joy of a fully tested jigsaw puzzle, complete and ready to feed YOUR passion for puzzles!

Note: George's mom and mentor runs Laura's Last Ditch, one of Etsy's largest vintage kitchenwares shops (www.etsy.com/shop/lauraslastditch). She helps George provide the high level of service her 10,000 happy customers have received, while encouraging him to stretch himself by learning money management, computer skills, math and spelling, photography, answering questions, responsibility, and more.

Frequently asked questions
How can I be sure no pieces are missing?

After assembling and photographing a puzzle, George and his mom transfer it to a piece of white posterboard, then lay the posterboard on the floor. We then place pieces in a ziplock bag while disassembling. Because there's nowhere for the pieces to fall, no carpet for the pieces to get lost in, and no pets or little ones to scatter them, we can be as certain as humanly possible that your puzzle will be complete. In the unlikely event you have an issue with the completeness of a puzzle—even if you think it might be your fault—just ask for store credit that never expires.

George even has a good selection of vintage puzzles that are still factory-sealed, so there's no reason not to love Puzzles By George!

What shipping method do you use?

You can choose your shipping speed at the time of purchase. To keep prices as reasonable as possible, orders that receive "free" shipping will be shipped by the most economical method, which could be via USPS Parcel Post, or FedEx SmartPost. Though we process orders promptly, these shipping methods can be a bit slow, so if you need your item in a hurry, please upgrade your shipping method to USPS Priority Mail.
