Returns and exchanges
Refunds are accepted for defective items only. However, the buyer must pay for return shipping with insurance, and refunds will not be issued until the item has arrived safely back to me OR you can present me with a valid postal tracking number with insurance.

REFUNDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR DAMAGES OCCURRING AFTER SHIPMENT! PLEASE BE GENTLE WITH YOUR NEW FRIEND!!

Please keep in mind that return shipping may be costly depending on your country of origin and return shipping times may also vary, but may take as long as 10 days, due to the fact that my business is located in Costa Rica and not within the U.S.A.

Returned items will not be reshipped to you for any reason, so please be certain about returning them before asking for a refund.

At this time, I am only able to accept Paypal payments. Please make sure your funds are in U.S. Dollars ($USD) when paying with this method.

Please pay for your order within 48 hours of purchase to avoid cancellation.

CUSTOM ORDERS: If you have commissioned me for a custom order, you will not need to pay me until your order has been completed. You will be given a price quote up front, which is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Once your custom order has been listed, you have 1 WEEK to pay for your item. After the 1 week time period, if you have not paid for your custom order and I do not hear from you, your order will be considered abandoned and I will re-list it as an open sale for anyone to purchase. I make every effort to contact a person after the week deadline, but please understand that I am a business and cannot hold items indefinitely. I do work with customers on a case by case basis, IF they contact me in advance about payment deadlines or immediately upon encountering a problem within the deadline period. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to convo me in advance. I'm happy to help ease any concerns you may have! :)

Shipping
Once payment has been received, all orders will be shipped via regular post within 1 week of payment receipt. Buyers will be notified once their item(s) ship with an estimated delivery date.

Please keep in mind that Pwyllo's Nest is located in Heredia, Costa Rica. This means that if you are ordering from the U.S or another country outside of Central America, it could take up to 3 weeks (usually closer to 2 weeks) for your order to arrive once it ships. Please be patient!

If you have ordered a made-to-order item, it will be shipped to you once I have finished making it. This time may vary according to my workload and the item's complexity, but I will always give you an estimated completion date and keep you updated on the item's progress. If there is a delay, I will notify you immediately via Etsy convo.

PLEASE REMAIN IN CONTACT WITH ME VIA ETSY CONVO UNTIL YOUR ORDER SHIPS TO AVOID MISCOMMUNICATIONS CONCERNING SHIPPING/DELIVERY TIMES!! Time is different here in Costa Rica. Lines are long, and sometimes I may be unable to ship an order on time due to traffic, inclement weather, simply running out of time waiting in line, or other unforeseeable delays. If this is the case, I will contact you immediately to let you know what has happened, so please check your messages often.

Additional policies and FAQs
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU KEEP IN CONTACT WITH ME VIA ETSY CONVO UNTIL YOUR ORDER SHIPS! This is especially true if you are ordering a custom, made-to-order creature, as I may need to verify details/confirm designs and materials with you before I can proceed and finish your order. Please check your messages often and respond as soon as you can. This keeps the process running smoothly and allows me to get your order shipped to you in the quickest way possible.

HANDLING AND CARE OF CREATURES: Despite their sometimes ferocious appearance, my creatures and beasties are delicate. As such, they need to be treated with gentleness and love. Please DO NOT allow them to play roughly or be played with roughly. This will inevitably result in injuries to your beastie that may or may not be repairable. Also, please be aware that if your creature gets soiled for any reason, the correct method is SPOT CLEANING AND AIR DRYING ONLY! Washing machines and dryers may kill your beastie. That would be a very sad day, so please don't let it happen. :(

CUSTOM MADE-TO-ORDER CREATURES: I occasionally take custom orders. Please check my custom order status to see if I'm available. Prices and production time vary depending on the level of customization and detail requested. ALL PRICES WILL BE GIVEN UP FRONT AND ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE. Once a custom order has been agreed upon, I will provide you with an approximate timeline and will keep you updated on your order's progress. Please feel free to message me with any questions you might have. IF YOU WANT A CUSTOM ORDER AND I'M NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, you can always contact me. I'll be happy to let you know when I will be available for such things in the future.

Also, please note that I work with LIMITED FABRIC SELECTIONS. This means that when I run out of a particular color or type of fabric, it's gone, and I won't be able to get more of it. Ever. This means it may be impossible for me to replicate something I've done previously or to get an exact color or fabric without having to import it, which will be very, very costly. So please be flexible in your choices when commissioning me, and keep in mind that your custom creation will be even more unique this way!

I have a limited supply of glass/fancy eyes. If you want something specific that I don't have in stock, I will have to import them. This will add time and cost to your order, which will depend on the type of eyes you are requesting. FOR COST ESTIMATES AND/OR A LIST OF CURRENT EYES AVAILABLE, please message me. I'm happy to work with you.

VACATION STATUS: When my shop goes on vacation, please be patient! We will open again soon! Sometimes, I'm really on vacation, and other times I'm trying to catch up on a busload of orders or maybe I'm busy designing new creatures for sale. Whatever the reason, I usually post a re-open date in my shop's welcome message, so check back often and hang in there! :)

ETIQUETTE: Please be patient, considerate, and polite! It really does make a difference, and as the shop owner, I have the authority to refuse business from anyone who raises a stink for no good reason. Etsy backs me up on this, so it's really in your best interests to be nice. If you do have a complaint, please let me know right away! Chances are I can resolve your issue without a fuss. So let's be friends, okay? :)

HOLIDAYS, BIRTHDAYS, AND OTHER SPECIAL OCCASIONS: If you want your custom-order plush to arrive by a certain date, I'm happy to work with you! However, please plan ahead and contact me with your order 2-3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE OF YOUR SPECIAL DATE!! This is important because my shop runs on a first come, first serve basis. If you order something and need it next week, or next month and I've got 3 orders I'm already working on, guess who won't get what they want when they want it? Yep, that's right. No exceptions. So please contact me early for such things and save yourself (and me) a lot of frustration. :)

- Mature content
- Copying someone else's style (Unless it's yours and you're commissioning me.)
- Industrial-level mass production (It's just me working here, not a factory.)
