Announcement   Welcome to my Etsy Shop. I print Moku Hanga. Moku Hanga is the Japanese art of woodblock printing; the prints are hand carved and hand pressed; the inks are water soluble, non-fading and non-toxic. I use different sorts of papers, these are described in the individual item entries. Each print has a "studio seal" and is signed in pencil in the margin. True colors my vary slightly from what you see on your screen due to scanning. Each print is an individual work of art, unique in itself, despite resemblance to others in the series/edition. I love to print and Moku Hanga is really just big wooden stamps. Now available for the stamping pleasure of those who appreciate multiple images are rubber stamps based on my wood blocks. Some stamps are taken directly from a print, some were specially designed for stamping, but all originally started as a woodcut. Many of my designs are also available on Tshirts and totes at the socially responsible Skreened: http://skreened.com/qipapers. If you like what you see but you'd rather the animal portrayed was your own please see the custom animal portrait offerings at the end of the listings. For more musings, doings, ramblings and such like pop over to my blog at http://www.theqipapers.blogspot.com or find me in Facebook under Diana Moll.
