I make plushies.
I began my plush selling adventure at anime cons when I was attending university in Toronto. My first time selling was in the artist alley at Anime North. I made several fleece pillow designs and ended up selling out despite my initial, "Oh no, I bet I won't sell anything!" I continued to sell at conventions in Ontario while expanding my product line to include plushies, keychians, phone charrms, bags, etc. Later on I began wandering further afield to other cons across Canada. I would load up a bag full of plushies during my summer vacations and jump on the Greyhound bus for cheap, arduous trips across the country. I'm a geek, so it was a load of fun attending cons and chatting with fellow fandom goers while manning my artist alley tables. Everyone kept asking me at these cons, "Do you have an Etsy?" I didn't, so I got one, and now here I am.
I don't sell at cons as much now that I have a day job as well. But my Etsy shop and my sewing machine are still running!
