Quail Run Findings was started in January of 2021 from a desire to offer copper jewelry findings to other artists and crafters; like the pieces we use to create our own jewelry that you find on our Quail Run Jewelry site; quailrunjewelry.etsy.com.
For our Quail Run Findings store, we started out by offering a few items and got sales right away. We have slowly been adding items to our inventory over time. We feel we are just touching the surface. We hope to offer many more shapes and sizes of copper blanks as well as other findings over this next year.
Keep an eye on us! We are working hard. We want to be your Go-To for copper blanks and findings.

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details
Our copper blanks are hand cut from die and Disc Plates.
Our open jump rings are made by us and are cut by Flush Cutter Pliers or are Saw Cut.
Due to the nature of hand cutting, and hand forming copper blanks and jump rings, and although minimal, slight variations of size may be noticed and expected.
Care instructions
Copper will patina over time. To help slow this process we encourage you to keep the copper pieces in the closed plastic bags items are shipped in.
Polishing can remove or lessen tarnish.
why rough edges?
Our copper pieces are cut by hand from copper sheet. The edges may be sharp and should be handled carefully. We do not file the edge of each piece as time restricts us from doing so. We do wash the pieces before shipping. We have noticed that this helps to lessen the roughness of the edge. If you are enameling or firing the pieces the edges should smooth a bit during that process. Otherwise, you may need to file the edges.
Why do you have a 7 day shipping window?
We don't want to scare you away from ordering from us, and we usually ship orders SAME DAY or NEXT DAY after order comes in. However, we hand cut each copper piece, which takes time and attention. We want to send quality products and orders can pile up; due to busy season or holidays it might be days before it ships.
We want to ensure that you have a realistic time frame of when your order will go out. We try to ship as quickly as possible but want to be honest in the estimation of time so the client can plan their schedule in relation to their order. If you need a more accurate estimation of the shipping time of your order, please message us and we can give you a ballpark idea of when it will go out.
Tell me about the copper you use to create your findings.
We purchase our copper from a jewelry supply in New Mexico. This supplier owns part of the company that makes the copper they sell to us. They guarantee that it is 99.9% Copper made in the United States.
The copper sheet is "Dead Soft" which means it has been softened slightly.
At this time, we offer 24 gauge and 26gauge copper pieces.
We plan to add other heavier as well as lighter gauges in the future.
