The tiara is so cute and petite. It's extremely well made and feels sturdy. It stays put in my hair as well. It's also the perfect size! I love it!

Not All That Glitters is Gold

... It's also fuchsia, mint green, violet, red and almost any other colour you can imagine!

I first started making glitter banners in 2011. The first banner I made was a simple silver glitter "Just Married." I started offering custom banners, and sold a few, mostly to friends. In the fall of that year I added ombre (two-tone) and fancy letter banners to the shop.

In December 2011 my old, diabetic cat required a trip to the emergency vet, and to help offset the significant costs I ran and heavily promoted a sale in my shop I called CAT AID. One of the banners that was ordered during this sale spelled out "Feminist Killjoy" in fuchsia letters with three gold hearts, and a juggernaut was born. Pictures of this banner started showing up everywhere, and orders started pouring in. Or like... ten. Ten orders.

Over the next two years sales increased, slowly but steadily. I added two new types of banners: mini-size and drippy-font. The mini version of the original "Feminist Killjoy" banner was especially popular, and being featured on Jezebel caused it to BLOW UP in November of 2012. I found myself with 75 orders to fill while caring for my newborn daughter! It was crazy, I was working on banners day and night for the whole month.

Beyond the typical messages and colour schemes of store bought banners or banner making kits, I offer a completely customizable item. With different sizes and typefaces, dozens of options for colour, and unlimited options for shapes, I'm confident that I can create the perfect banner for any event, or to hang up year round.

All my banners are completely handmade by me, with each letter and shape is cut out with an exacto knife and tiny, sharp scissors. The template for every shape is designed and made by me, allowing for complete customization of the look of your banner. I can even make a portrait of your beloved family pet- in glitter! I love working with my customers to create truly original items.

My banners have been featured on the Urban Outfitters and BUST blogs, Jezebel and popular tumblr blog STFU, Conservatives. In addition to the omnipresent "Feminist Killjoy" banners you may have also seen pictures of my "Stay Sassy" and "What Is The Point" banners pop up on your tumblr dash or instagram feed, or maybe as your friends' twitter backgrounds and facebook covers.
