It Was Always Going To Be Yarn
I've been making things since forever. I learned to crochet when I was four and knit when I was five and I haven't stopped since. I muddled about for a long time until a dear friend told me that I should never follow my dream - dreams are fleeting, we have millions of dreams every year and they rarely come to anything. Rather, she said, I should follow my effort, my passion, that thing that I pour all of my free time into and am really good at and can do consistently day in and day out without getting burnt out and unhappy - and that thing, for me, is deliberately tangling yarn until it resembles an owl or a sock or whatever.
I have never been happier.
