Quilted by Karen moves into new Studio
I started this shop 8 years ago after I retired from being a public school teacher. I wanted a bigger quilting machine but didn't have room in the bedroom in which I was working. My DH said he wanted to make me a studio in our basement so there would be room for it. It has taken him 3 years because he still works full time. It is a beautiful place to sew.
I make some of the custom items for Quilted by Karen. I love trying out new things for the shop. I like modern and minimalist designs.
I started sewing at age six and sewed most of my own clothes through HS and College. I made my own wedding dress. When we had our kids, I often sewed clothes for them. I started quilting about 12 years ago and really like bright fabrics and modern designs.
