We re-opened our shop last month. Thank you to our Etsy customers for your support. It has been a struggle to keep things going. I am a sewing quilting educator for Baby Lock machines, and we have all been grounded through the end of 2020. When it is safe for quilt shows and trade shows to open back up I will be traveling again for Baby Lock. Let us all hope for a reliable vaccine to end this pandemic nightmare. I am focused on my sewing and quilting skills to replace income that has been lost due to the virus.

We are working overtime to meet the demand for our masks and other handmade items. I have been busy at the home studio and shop sewing. Our shop in Henry Illinois has been closed to the public since 3/17/20. Thank you for your continued support.

UPDATE 1/2/2019
2018 was a very busy year for us, we moved across country from Colorado to a little town in the Illinois River Valley, Henry Illinois. We found our dream house, an 1881 Victorian Empire Gothic that is an Illinois Historical Landmark home. Check out my website for photos.
My quilts have won national awards, and I am an International Event Educator for Accuquilt. We moved around my travel schedule and finished with our 5th moving truck the last week of August 2018.
We are still committed to the art of creating our handmade quilts, handwoven fabrics, hand dyed fibers and fabric, hand spun yarns, and we offer long arm quilting services. I love to use my hand spun yarns in my weavings. Also be sure to look out for our upcoming YouTube how to channel on all of these topics, just search for quiltsbydael on you tube to subscribe! Thank you to all for your continued support.

All of my items are handcrafted in my pet free and smoke free studio. We are nestled in the foot hills on the Front Range of the majestic Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
You can browse traditional quilts as well as artsy embellished quilts, scarves, and handbags; which are all created by me. I employ a large range of batiks and other cotton fabrics, ribbons, couched yarns and cords, silk and satin, hand beading, and LOTS of metallic threads.
I was raised in Western Kentucky ~ PADUCAH ~ and remember attending the very first American Quilter's Society Show ; my family are avid quilters. My memaw had nine girls and two boys on the homestead, and I remember helping my nine aunts cutting out quilt pieces when I was around five years old! The big day on the farm was the arrival of the quilt buyers from Louisville, quilts and quilt tops were laid out, hung up, and the bidding began. There were always at least a hundred quilts and quilt tops for sale, and this happened three times a year! Those were the days!
Thank you for visiting my little shop, and I do accept custom orders. Please convo me for any special requests.

5 out of 5 starsThis mask fits well. The elastics are comfortable and I like that they can adjust. I also like the filter pocket. Really pleased with these masks

5 out of 5 starsI love this design. The mask does not cover my eyes like other masks do. It is adjustable and the fabric is comfortable.

5 out of 5 starsPerfect! Has everything- filter pocket, nose wire and 2 layers of very nice cotton fabric. The best made face mask I have found. And the music print is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!
