When I'm not sewing I'm busy knitting and spinning. My hands are rarely still.
Making practical things for practical people.
When I left teaching, hubby and I bought a run down cottage in Mid Wales to do up and relish the peace and quiet of the country side.
There were no plans other than to restore the garden and walk the dogs over the miles of unspoilt paths that this area has to offer.
Life has a curious habit of putting opportunities to you that had never been imagined...welcome home daughter!
It all started by making a few spindle cases for her shop and developed into turning ideas into designs for functional bags, cases and aprons that knitty people would want to buy.
The needle cases and project bags were trialled by ourselves and friends, before the final design was put in the shop.
The other major design work were the craft aprons. We were tired of a heavy weight around our necks or waists when we were doing shows, so the functional cross over strap apron with good sized zipped pockets was designed.
I love searching for all the different fabrics that I use for my designs. The stack of colourful fabric in my workroom is a delight to behold!
