Everything I create is in an effort to connect us back to the roots of how deeply interconnected we are to nature, one another & our inner selves.

Hi! I’m Rachael Amber, a queer illustrator and designer who creates art & healing tools to raise awareness and foster connection between all living beings. Most of my artwork focuses on depicting the beauty of nature & the energetic interconnection between ourselves and the natural world. I also focuses on subjects of menstrual cycle awareness, empowerment & radical self-care through her annual creation of Cycles Journal: an illustrated guide to tracking your lunar & menstrual cycles.

I began this shop as a way to spread my art around the world in an accessible way - to keep the mission of connection flowing. Each piece holds deep meaning and, I believe, the potential to spark awareness, intimate conversations & hope. Through wearing or displaying my artwork, you are sharing a symbol of interconnectedness & a desire to spread this unity all around.

I aim to share the positive side and hope for reconnection of difficult issues such as endangered pollinators, climate change, spiritual and social disconnect, and menstrual shaming. Through focusing on the beauty and life at the core, I believe we can be reminded of what’s important and what we need to stand up for.

Everything in my shop is originally ideated and created by me. I always start with an idea or spark usually from my time in nature or meditative states, or a book I read, something on the news or movement that is happening. Out of my little home studio, I begin with words and transform the images that arise in my mind into tangible drawings or paintings. I create both physically and digitally - usually beginning with a sketch on paper and painting it in watercolor or gouache, or transferring the sketch to my tablet and drawing with the stylus pen on screen - a direct transfer of my mark-making. Oftentimes I feel that the image wants to live on something useful or wearable, and that’s when I create products, tools or adornment such as pins, patches, wall art, tote bags, journals, etc. I create some things myself via home printer, screen-printing or block-printing. I also outsource at times to help me spread bigger projects - I use primarily local shops for printing & production. If not local, I aim to stay within the country.

I keep all of my packaging and production as eco-friendly as possible - I use scraps for notes or packing materials. I reuse envelopes and buy recyclable ones with as little plastic content as possible. I keep packaging minimal but secure. The environment is always in mind.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my little loving shop! It means the world to me that my artwork resonates with others & can connect us deeper!
Any purchase from here is sent with love, gratitude and intention - your support keeps this small solo-woman-run business afloat! <3

Frequently asked questions
How do you make your products?

All of my artwork is originally created. From idea & inspiration, to drawing & designing - it's all me! Inspired by nature and webs of connection in our world, I create from my heart and intuition. While I screen-print and print some of my products at home, I typically outsource for production to meet needs of demand since I am just one person. I use local companies as much as possible. All of my art prints are locally printed on 100% recycled paper. I outsource for embroidered patches & enamel pins because I do not have those skill sets. I work with the best companies I can find to make sure the quality of their production matches the artwork I create for them to translate. I package everything myself.

Wholesale availability

I'd love to chat about my wholesale offerings and prices! Most of my prints, patches, accessories and Cycles Journals are available upon request to relevant stores with similiar missions. Please email me at hello@rachaelamber.com with your shop info & what you are interested in to discuss options :) I can't wait to hear from you!

Is your business sustainable and ethical?

As an advocate for environmental awareness, everything I create and produce has the intention behind it of being as ethical and low-waste as possible. Over the years I have grown to be able to afford products & packaging that match my mission. I use all paper products that are recycled and use PCC as much as possible. All prints are printed on 100% recycled paper. I re-use & recycle envelopes and packing materials often. I try to use minimal packaging, but when I do use backing cards I try to make them useful instead of wasteful. I am constantly learning and trying to minimize my waste & be a sustainable small business.
