Item was exactly as it appeared, and arrived on time. The package, and thus.the picture was slightly bent. It should flatten out once framed. Pkg should have been marked, "Do not bend."

This artwork is just wonderful. Great colors and a beautiful depiction of one of the nicest types of animals! It did arrive slightly bent because the packaging was flexible, but flattened out easily under a heavy book. Thanks so much!
Dogs Look Good In Blue
My name is Rachel, and I paint.
As a child, I stubbornly refused to bend to the teachers who told me. “No, no Rachel. Dogs are not blue.” I just kept on painting, because, well, dogs look good in blue.
My love for animals and color did nothing but grow, and soon I was painting pet portraits for family and friends. Then it was for friends of family, family of friends, and then Molly’s cousin’s boyfriend's mother. I loved it. I love what I do, I love painting animals. And at some point, I finally listened to my friends and family telling me that I could sell these, and here we are.
I now offer custom pet portraits in watercolors and acrylics, in a variety of sizes. I paint dogs, cats, horses, snakes, alpacas, rats, hedgehogs, the occasional imaginary pet dinosaur…You name it! It gives me continual joy to have my beloved animal companions smiling down at me from my walls and I want to share that.
I also sell limited edition prints of the animal paintings I do between commissions. When I first decided to do this, I did a lot of research. I wanted to make my process as environmentally friendly as possible, so I settled on high quality, fine art bamboo paper. I create limited edition prints (signed and numbered), so my customers know that they will be receiving a unique, collectible art piece.
I love what I do.

For all commissions there will be a two - six week turn-around time before shipping (depends on size and my current workload). Paintings are also insured, just in case.
All original paintings will be shipped out within one to two business days. Watercolors will be shipped out via USPS and Acrylics are packed and shipped through UPS. All paintings will be insured.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds will also be issued for original paintings, after the painting is returned to me in its original condition. I insure all the paintings I ship, so if a painting is damaged/lost, the insurance will cover the cost and you will get your refund.
Additional policies and FAQs
All of my paintings are painted by hand. Acrylic paintings will be painted on Acid-free gallery wrapped canvas. Watercolors will be hand painted on acid-free cold press watercolor.
Can I make changes?
Yes- before I start painting, I will send you a sketch. Any major changes will need to be made then. (example: adding/removing collar, ears uprtight or laying down). Colors will also be discussed at this point. I will then send you updates throughout the painting process. When I am done, you will receive a proof and I will be happy to make revisions for you. You will have two rounds of revisions.
How long will it take you to paint a portrait of my pet?
Turn around times vary on the size of the painting and how many orders I currently have, but it usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.
I'm a last minute shopper! Do you offer rush orders?
I do accept rush orders. Please contact me and I will let you know if I can get your painting done in time. There is an additional fee for Rush orders.
Do you Ship Internationally?
I want a portrait of multiple pets, do I have to give you a photo of them together?
No. I can work from multiple photos.
I retain all rights to the paintings I create.
