The hat beautiful and very well made. Communication with Lisa was easy and I appreciated her eco-friendly packaging!

Lisa was very prompt at getting back to me, I absolutely LOVE her work and feel so lucky to have one of her originals! Worth every penny I paid :)

Very pleased how lovely this piece looks in person! The watercolors used for the salmonberries are just too perfect and I love the small detailing of the salmonberry leaves on the tablecloth! Too cute! I bought this as a gift for my niece’s nursery. Would buy another salmonberry related piece from this artist again!
I’m inspired by the landscape, ecosystems, gardens, and peoples of Southeast Alaska.
I’m interested in connections found in nature and between nature and people. Life in Alaska with a scientist and a teacher for parents gave me many opportunities to explore and investigate. As a teenager, I fell in love with watercolor and decades later it remains my primary medium. My degree is in Elementary Education (MAT) and I have a major equivalency in Fine Art. I have taught art classes independently and professionally. Now that teaching has taken a backseat to raising our little boy I am inspired by sharing my observations with him and seeing what peaks his interest on our adventures.
I paint year round, and also shift seasonally between knitting, quilting, gardening, cooking. Working occasionally in other fine art and craft media brings me joy and informs my painting.
More examples of my work and connections to other projects can be found on my website: www.leschramek.com and my instagram: @lesahandmade

Original watercolors should be framed behind glass. If you have any questions about the framing process feel free to contact me via Etsy conversations. Watercolor will eventually fade over time, especially if they’re kept in direct sunlight. Museum conservation glass can help reduce this issue. All of my watercolors are created with professional high-grade watercolor paint and professional grade watercolor paper to reduce any fading in the lifetime of the painting.
