About

RafaelArt and How I found myself in the magical world of art - felting

My name is Diana Mineva. I nowadays I'm Felting designer and a mentor.
I'm the creator and designer of RafaelArt - the whimsical felt studio.

My formal education is a computer engineer with a masters degree. But I didn't stick very long into this field, as my heart always belonged to art.
From my mom's side, all the women engaged in some kind of art and crafts. My grand-grandmother was a felter. I was five years old when I first I sat behind the sewing machine! I was so eager to learn that, so I punched my thumb finger with machine needle! :)
Three years later my mom taught me how to knit. Two knitted stitches, two disentangled... but the important thing was the desire and passion I did it! :)

Later I started felting and I felt all a creative energy flowing into my body and my mind. At that moment I realized that my mission is to create beauty and to share beauty! :)
