About

From Rags to Rugs - An almost magical adventure!

Just like many of you, I start the day with a cup of coffee and let the dog out. Then, turn on the computer and check my emails. But then, I walk out my door and in just a few steps, I am at work in my little rug shop. Yes, I'm a lucky gal, I get to do what I love and I get to do it whenever I want to!

I'm serious about my craft. I've made a lot of rugs over the years. Lots of rugs. They now grace homes all around the world. When you purchase a rug from me, you are not just getting that rug, you're also receiving my years of experience, with untold hours of research, practice, mistakes, learning and sore fingers. You are assured that your rug will lay flat, last long and look lovely for generations.

THE REST OF THE STORY...
The rag rug or pet bed you see in our shop is so much more than a product. It's part of our continuing effort to keep 100's of pounds of textiles out of the local landfill. All of our rag rugs use recycled fabrics. The thread used is salvaged from a closed sewing factory and was on its way to the local landfill. The squares in the rag pet beds are made from sleeves and leftover bits of shirt that are saved from making our rag rugs. The hypoallergenic polyester stuffing is a 100% recycled product. We get most of our shirts and fabrics we use from the local Food/Clothing Bank. The money we spend there stays in our community and is used to feed the less fortunate. So you see, when you buy a rag rug or pet bed from us, you are also helping the environment, helping to feed the hungry and buying a handmade, American made product.
THANK YOU!

I'm practically creative! Rugs are my art form. They are beautiful and useful. The perfect combination.

Pebbles approved the first pet bed! She loves the colors and comfort. I can watch her out my shop window and she provides much stress relief and laughter to my day. But she knows she is not allowed in the shop!
