I loved working with Raina on this custom project. I found her shop almost 2 years ago and knew I wanted her to create something special for my twin sons' bar mitzvah! As the date finally got closer I asked Raina to create a painting of israel. I plan to use a digital image as save the date cards and the actual painting as a sign in board at the event. Raina was so accommodating and sent me several color combinations and sketch samples as the work progressed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for unique and colorful artwork!!!!

About

Bringing Color Into Monuments

As an undergraduate student seven years ago, I was inspired by my design theory class to paint Beaumont Tower at Michigan State University. All my friends loved it. I developed a style where I could paint unique monuments and sculptures using bright colors and from there, tried painting a couple other notable Michigan icons. After my third painting, I frequently received requests from family and friends for a painting of their own. While I was still a student, in both undergrad and graduate school, I used painting as a hobby to relax when I needed a break from studying.

After I finished my schooling, I found myself with more time to explore my craft. I tried new subjects and fulfilled requests. The more I painted, the more I loved what I created. From there, I was encouraged to set up my own etsy site and to create the first print copies of my work. I took a major plunge when I applied to sell my art at a local store -- needless to say I was surprised when they said yes!

I like keeping my art affordable, making it easier for anyone to access my work. I love using bright, unique colors with monumental architecture. Architecture is so much of who I am, I want to emphasize the magnificent icons that define a place.

I eat, sleep, and breathe art and architecture. In my 9 to 5 job, I work as an architectural historian where I research historic buildings. I use painting as a way to express my love of art, color, and architecture.

HELLO! I hope you enjoy exploring my artwork. I love spreading my love of architecture and design through pop art paintings. I want to make my artwork as accessible as possible, which is why I created prints, notecards, and postcards that feature my work. At this time, all prints are open ended runs, although I will sign and number your print.

Custom Order Policies
Love one of my painting subjects, but want a different color featured? I am more than happy to accept custom painting orders. Please convo me if you are interested.

My prices are as follows:
5in x 7in $35
6in x 8in $40
8in x 10in $50
11in x 14in $60
16in x 20in $85
18in x 24in $100
+shipping costs

I typically ask the following questions for custom orders:
1. What size would you like?
2. Name one color you would like featured – I will pair other colors that will complement.
3. Do you need the painting by a certain day? Is this a gift?

Upfront, I require half the painting cost to be sent to me. I will take your request, paint your artwork, then send you an image with the painting. If you are comfortable with the completed work, I will set up a custom listing on etsy for your to purchase it (with the balance of the painting due at that time).

Wholesale: I am willing to wholesale or consign notecards and postcards. Please contact me for more information.
