Love at First Knit
I started knitting in seventh grade. I had a little help from my Mom, but learned mostly from books. It was love at first knit with fiber art. I remember not knowing how to knit in the round or do much shaping so I made up my own version of short rows to make some hats. They turned out surprisingly well. My friends, teenagers at the time, wore them.
Over the years I've added many more knitting skills as well as crochet, sewing, ceramics, soap making, and kept going with the pattern design. RainyDayArt the shop opened in January, 2007 and has continued to grow with me.
