About

I offer handmade jewelry through my unique perspective on it.

My creative journey began in eighth grade, when I started making kandi jewelry. Kandi comes from rave culture, and even though I did not go to raves, I fell in love with the concepts and creativity behind kandi. Creating anything from a single strand of pony beads, to a 3-dimensional, multicolored cuff with toys hanging off of it, stacking pieces from my wrist to my elbow, was the perfect beginning of my creative expression. This led to the long evolution that has gotten me to where I am today. I started with simple, single strands of beads, then I started attaching charms and toys to them. A little later on, I started creating my own charms with polymer clay, and then I started replacing pony beads with metal findings, etc. Now, I prefer to work with found or secondhand objects, metal findings, polymer and air-dry clay, and glass and stone beads.
My current inspiration comes primarily from the materials themselves. Whether it be materials that I feel call to me from the sidewalk or secondhand shop, or materials that I actively seek out from a craft store, they are the driving force behind what I create. Sometimes, I will be going for a walk, and I will see a smashed bottle cap, or a broken, painted piece of concrete, and that is where a new design is born. Other times, I will see something like a decorative, black glass bottle, and go “Oh, I’d love to create something with black glass beads.” I can confidently say I am a materials-driven jewelry designer and creator.
Everything I offer is conceptualized, designed, and created by me. I believe strongly in heartfelt goods made by hand, with love. I breathe life into the pieces I offer by creating them, and I like for a bit of my Self to be present in everything I produce. I believe that I offer a unique perspective on jewelry. I see and admire materials in their pure form, and I aim to capture what they can be, without completely obscuring their identity. I try not to go too over-the-top (at least most of the time) because I want the objects I create to be treasured for what they are. I am very intuitive in my process, as well. I love the process and development of designs, so as I start to create them, I frequently change my mind in the direction that feels best to me. I am constantly learning, constantly expanding what I work with and what I create, and I hope you find value in what I have to offer.

All of my items are either secondhand vintage or made by me. My main goal is to offer unique pieces at reasonable prices so that everybody has a chance to stand out. I do work with materials that I have tested and know will last for years; I do not believe in selling low-quality items.
