Very well crafted and definitely worth the wait. The "quilt-pattern" concept is so unique and adorable. The quality of Lauren's work is what makes these adorable pieces look luxe and special. Thank you so much Lauren and keep up the good work!!

About

reviving, rethinking, recreating

I am an artist born and raised in North Carolina. I currently live in the Durham/Chapel Hill area, but I grew up in Oakboro, a small town outside of Charlotte. My roots here in North Carolina are deeply important to me. I was raised on a family farm, and grew up with an understanding of the importance of agriculture, small town community and family.

Ramble&Roost is an exploration of those ties, and the importance of hanging on to who we are and where we came from. I have loved old barns as long as I can remember, and I am thrilled to take pieces of these beauties and breathe new life into them. I am excited that in an age where farms and tight knit communities are often dismissed as romanticized stories of the past, I can offer to my customers a small piece of them, in many art forms. Each board carries a story and comes from a fallen barn or mill in North Carolina.

Lastly, I love the idea of restoration, and taking the broken and making something new out of it. I believe in many ways that is a reflection of my faith, and who I am.

I hope you will enjoy my work, and please shoot me a message if you have any questions or ideas for a project!

Best,
Lauren

I love the combination of old, rough wood and thin, fine thread. It's a pleasure to breathe new life into old things.
