Announcement   Dearest Friends from University of Maryland Farmer's Market,
I am so sorry to tell you that I am unable to return and finish the market season with you this year. My family has suffered a tremendous loss and I need to focus all of my energy on the health and well being of my self and my family. I will never be able to thank you for all of the love, loyalty and friendships. My time with you there gave me great strength, confidence and warmed my heart. I loved just chit chatting and bonding over the little tidbits in our lives. It was magnificently rewarding to me as a human being to spent every Wednesday with you. My heart hurts that I won't get to say good bye or share a hug and say thank you personally. I learned so much from you all. Thank you for sharing your lives with me. Reach out any time and let me know how you are doing. I really will miss you tremendously. Take good care. In love and gratitude, Ann

About

My discovery of acrylic pour painting has allowed me access to parts of myself that have been in slumber for years. The peace and joy that have come from creating these organic, vibrant, free flowing pieces has been remarkable. I have been able to find a patch of peace within myself that has always been missing. The process of mixing the paints, checking for the correct density, combining color, is like meditation for me. I can be quiet in mind, body and spirit while painting. I never imagined that watching paint flow could bring me such calm and joy. I often paint until the wee hours of the morning. There is this sense of healing and hope that comes to me as I create. I feel awake, inspired, comfortable, calm and excited all together. The thoughts and feelings, that in the past I had no words for, now flow out of me through my creations. It has been a remarkable journey getting to this point in my life. My new focus is on the science and the peaceful process of this art and not the product. This has allowed me to be free from my usual self criticism and worry about what others might think. I am able to glide and flow and move with the paint. It has been such a relief to let go of the need to control or be perfect. I have never felt such a clear and consistent uplift in my spirits before. I realize how much my world has changed since I started to paint. I feel stronger, healthier, more comfortable in my own skin.
I am telling you all of this to possibly inspire you to begin expressing yourself in any artistic way that you choose. It really can be a beautiful, life changing process. You need absolutely zero training to begin. You can learn while you are practicing. It is an incredible way to take time for yourself, heal, rejuvenate and begin a new chapter. Please share your stories of hope and healing with me. I would love to hear how your life has benefited from creative expression. In peace and love, Ann

Frequently asked questions
Where did you learn about acrylic pour painting?

I happened upon a You Tube channel by Annemarie Ridderhof on acrylic pours. I watched one video and was completely mesmerized. Who knew watching paint flow was so relaxing and exciting at the same time? I had never seen such beautiful creations. One channel led to another channel and so on for months. Every single technique I have learned was by watching others teach on You Tube. It's well worth a look if you are interested in trying this out. It is incredibly relaxing.

What is the best way to contact you?

Please email me at

ramblingrosearts@gmail.com

What are the numbered white circles on the bottom right side of your pictures?

A temporary number was placed on each of my pieces as they were being photographed. This will help me keep track of my inventory. No adhesive was used. Your purchased art pieces will not include these numbers.

Will you ship outside the USA?

Absolutely. Just send me an email with your address and I will calculate shipping cost.

Are any of the backs on your work finished?

No. I leave all of the backs on my pieces as is. Some pieces have very little paint markings on the back and some have quite a bit. I find it more authentic and interesting this way. To me, the backs tell a big part of the story.

How accurate is the color in the photos?

I have tried to match the original colors with the photos as best as possible. That being said, I would say that the originals run a tad brighter than the photos on Etsy.
