About

raori - indie slow-fashion and lifestyle label, focusing on humanly and eco-friendly produced clothes and textile items for everyday life.

Hi, my name is Hanna. I'm a Swede living in a tiny mini country in Europe called Belgium, where I make eco-friendly clothes and stuff in my little studio in the attic of our house.

I love to make beautiful things with my hands, I've always been a very creative person, so I try to make everything that I need in life, instead of buying new things. I'm also crazy about vintage furnitures, clothing and vintage goods, so if I ever shop- I love to stroll around at flee markets and second hand shops (or on Etsy!), where I do my shopping.

All pieces in my shop are unique and handmade and they come in limited numbers. I never buy big quantities of fabric. I only use organically produced or left-over "waste" fabrics that the fashion industry doesn't care to use anymore. Nothing in my little production goes to waste: The pattern is made to create very little fabric waste, small fabric cuttings that remains becomes clothes for me or my kids (or their dolls) and when there is really nothing left, just scraps, I put them in a bag and make sofa cushions of them. Or quilts. I like this way of eco-friendly living.

My life, everything I see around me makes me want to create. I need the process. It's such a satisfaction to draw something on a piece of paper, make the pattern or drape it, sew a prototype and finally, there it is in my hand, the finished garment. I love every part of it. And when I see someone wearing it - that's the best part!

My clothes are made with 20 years of sewing and pattern cutting experience, 10 years professionally in the British, Swedish and Belgian Fashion Industry (I've been a fashion design assistant, pattern cutter, pattern cutter teacher, textile teacher, production coordinator ...)

raori clothes are of excellent quality, hand-tailored and made to last season after season.

The raori girls are eco-concious, playful and young-minded women with a strong style-identity who prefer a timeless personal style, based on who they are and what they like rather than follow seasonal fashion trends. raori clothes are easy and comfy to wear.

raori is a one-person production which means I do everything myself: I design the clothes, make and grade the patterns, cut the fabric and sew everything here in my little studio in Belgium.

I wanted to do something good in my life, where I could work for a better environment and without hurting anyone and that, combined with having kids is how my shop was born. My Etsy shop is the perfect occupation for me to be able to stay home with my kids, and my little ones enjoy helping me as well.

I hope my clothes will be often worn and loved pieces in your closet and that they will become a part of your amazing identity.

I'll see you in my shop ´*•.¸¸.•★

Welcome to raori!

raori is made by me, Hanna Westergren (hello and welcome, WELCOME!!) I spend most of my days by the sewing machine or over a drawing pad figuring out new ideas, or in my vegetable garden, where I'm hanging out with my chickens. (I'm also an Urban Farmer).

You can expect handmade high quality clothes and accessories, always inspired by the ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ streets, the ocean, nature ... made with care and lots of love and you are ALWAYS welcome to ask me if you have any ideas or special orders that I can help you with (for example translation of the horribly difficult centimetre system ;).

Allow 3-4 weeks of making for "Made to Measure-garments". As for the rest, if I have it in stock, I'll send it to as soon as payment is received, normally within 1-3 days. Happy shopping ♥ have fun ♥ raori is here to make you happy!

I prefer safe Paypal payment, but if you would like to make a Bank transfer, that's ok too, but please be aware that the currency needs to be in EUR or SEK !!
Shipping
Garment in stock will be shipped from Belgium within 3 days of finished payment. I use standard Belgian Postal service unless you ask or pay for something else. If you're in a hurry, please send me a convo for other shipping options and prices.

For shipment outside Europe, the buyer is responsible for any additional fees that may be charged at customs.

If your purchase is a gift, I will happily ship straight to the giftee, as well as include a personal note if requested, just leave me the info you want written in the "note to seller" box at checkout.

Delivery time for Europe is 3-6 days and for the rest of the world 6-10 days, although while packages generally arrive MUCH sooner, I allow the post office up to 2 weeks for Domestic delivery & up to 4-5 weeks for International delivery before resending/refunding for non delivery.

Thank you for your understanding! The postal service is a fickle being.

Please remember that shipping around any holiday can be very unpredictable so it's best to order a long time in advance or pay for faster shipping to ensure faster delivery times!

IMPORTANT NOTE: International buyers are responsible for any and all Customs Charges, Taxes & Additional Postal Fees
