This 8-button keyboard works just as advertised. I had the seller customize it to output function keys F13 through F20. In prior decades these keys would sometimes be physically present on full size keyboards. Since they are rarely used but still recognized by computer systems, I like to use them to initiate AutoHotKey scripts. I can also hold down control or control-shift on my laptop keyboard and then press one of the 8 buttons to activate additional scripts beyond the first 8. The button colors I received are green, red, yellow, and gray. The top of the unit is an attractive shiny finish and the other sides are matte. The buttons do click audibly so it might not be appropriate for use in close proximity to other people who prefer quiet.

This is a really easy item to use, no set up needed it is just plug and go. The vendor was extremely helpful and patient as well.

I just received my order today. I had a few questions and Pete lived up to the hype. He was very responsive. I love the feel of the S1 and using it to fill in the gaps between my UC1 and US2400 is a dream come true. It works with everything from my Pultec to plug-ins from all manufacturers. I highly recommend this product and will use the S1 rotary controller on every mix down going forward. My only issue/regret is that I had not purchased the S1 sooner. Did it meet my expectations? OH YEAH! Does this feel solid and well made? Yes, it does! Did it match the description? No, IT's FAR BETTER THAN ADVERTISED! I do a lot of mixdowns and I look forward to the next thanks to the S1.

Absolutely fantastic, this has stepped up my workflow in Logic and Final Cut Pro. My only gripes are that the base is not very ergonomic and very light weight, it would be nice if a MKII version had a smooth weighted base. 10/10 would buy this again purely for functionality

I reached out to the seller with quite a unique special request to utilize both program change and control change over midi, and while he hadn't built this specifically before, he was a fantastic communicator and enthusiastic to find a way to make it work. In a short time he was able to figure out the programming and invent a design that works perfectly for my needs. It looks great and the build quality is really solid. And it was simply plug-n-play – I was off to the races immediately. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!

Ingenious, well-made tactile accessory for my Logic X setup. I got the detent version, which feels nice for twisting plug-in knobs in hover state. Came programmed as requested and Pete was a fantastic communicator. Apple mouse scrolling needs to be tweaked in your preferences if you want this to behave linearly.
