Announcement   Welcome to Ravens Dreaming!

Showcasing some of Ravenari’s desirable original illustrations.

Here you will find the magical artwork of Ravenari, an artist who has been producing spiritual, shamanic and narrative artwork in their unique style for over 10 years, with a further 5 years of experience on top of that. Ravenari enters a light trance state in order to commune with their subjects and determine composition and colours; this is a spiritual skill not offered by many artists, and means that their pieces are powerful enough to be used as meditation anchors, visualisation guides, energy boosts or as a way to invite the energy of the totem animal into your home.

Ravenari has been a practicing shamanist and totemist for over fifteen years. Their art has graced the covers of books (Juliet Marillier's 'Prickle Moon' anthology (Aurealis nominated), Embracing the Spirit World by Immanion Press), been inside books (the World Fantasy Award winning She Walks in Shadows anthology, Losing Altitude non-fiction art book on Endangered birds), been the cover of magazines (Hex Magazine, Fall & Winter 2011) and been sought after by collectors. Their artwork has flown to many different corners of the globe, and made them pretty fearless with postage and handling!

Ravenari frequently works with animal totems that are rare. Ravenari also works with other subject matter from time to time, having produced steampunk and dieselpunk illustrations, narrative pastel works, and creating mythological creatures within their mediums. If you have any questions at all, please convo for their availability.

Currently showcasing some of Ravenari's desirable original illustrations.

About

A place to let the ravens dream...

Pia Ravenari (or just Ravenari!) - whose own totem is the Australian raven - decided it was high time she have an Etsy store. At first, it was a collaboration with Azhure, but over time it became a place of Ravenari's original artworks as Azhure took time off to raise a family and work on other areas of her life.

Ravenari wanted a place that her totem artwork could be show-cased, and decided Etsy was a good venue for this. Ravenari has some physical and mental disabilities that stop her from marketing her artwork offline as easily as online, and so she focused instead of building a strong online presence, and Ravens Dreaming @ Etsy has been a huge part of that.

The shop has grown from very small beginnings; nothing at all was listed in the first few months! Ravenari has loved so many of the clients she's met, and their stories, she couldn't imagine not having a storefront like Etsy now. The joy of a client receiving an original illustration and holding it in their hands is something she will never get tired of.

Payment
Payment is accepted via Paypal only. Payment must be made within seven days.
Shipping
Shipping rates are listed per piece.

Please read the information on each listing thoroughly. Artwork is sent via insured post, except within Australia and Canada, where it is sent Registered. If you wish for additional protection in postage, please contact me via Etsy Conversation so we can discuss it.

All artwork ships from Western Australia, and so standard transit times overseas tend to be 1.5 to 3 weeks. Keep this in mind when purchasing commissions that are intended as gifts. If you need expedited delivery, please let me know as soon as possible so I can arrange a quote and get a piece off to you as soon as possible.

All artwork is sent safely packaged in bubblewrap post-paks, with an additional piece of thick board or corflute to discourage all bending, wrapped in a plastic sheet that is taped to prevent weather damage. Often pieces of artwork come with little extras! Large pieces are sent safely flat-packed to prevent rolling, in boxes packed with scrunched newspaper. Limited edition prints are sent rolled in postage tubes. If you want a limited edition print sent flat-packed, please send me a conversation to talk about increased postage charges.
Refunds and Exchanges
Artwork will arrived safely wrapped and cannot be refunded or returned just because you do not like it, or have changed your mind about the design. If you are purchasing a gift and are unsure if your companion will like it, consider purchasing a commission slot instead; as gifts cannot be exchanged.

A photo (or photos) and a scan are shown in the cases of artwork to indicate the different ways it can appear under different lighting schemes. You may request additional photos at any time of the illustration in different lighting (just convo me).

I do not take responsibility for loss or damage in transit unless the item is sent by insured post. If you purchase an item and it is damaged twice in transit to your address, I will request a different address in future.
Additional policies and FAQs
Commissions

I offer varying commission slots in the ‘commissions’ section in the side menu. If you want something different in size or subject or medium (such as pastels), please convo me to check my availability and get a direct quote. If I have sold out of a particular size that you wanted, please convo me to check how long the waitlist might be, or if I potentially can open a spare slot for you.

Payment schemes

Under extenuating circumstances, I offer payment schemes outside of Etsy. This usually involves once a month fortnight or monthly payments until the piece is paid off. The illustration will only be sent once full payment has been received. If payment is late and no communication from you is forthcoming after a month, I will keep 50% of the total illustration cost that has been paid due to inconvenience, and sell the illustration. Payment schemes do not apply to oracle readings.

Communication

Feel free to convo me here, or email me at ophelias.diary (at) gmail.com with any questions you may have. Remember that I am a part-time artist only, so I can take a few business days to reply. I am not in a habit of replying to emails on my days off, unless the email must be replied to with urgency.

Thank you for your interested in my artwork,
Happy dreaming!
