Announcement   Thanks for visiting JackiesPlushies! All plushies are all hand sewn and made of felt. And due to the difficult replication of details, every plushie is unique!

If you have questions/comments, please don't hesitate to contact me through Etsy or e-mail (rawienj@gmail.com) or Facebook (facebook.com/jackiesplushies)! I try to respond ASAP to messages/e-mails, so don't hesitate to contact me with questions, comments, concerns, commissions or requests!

All plushies are created by hand and completely made of felt unless otherwise specified. I sometimes take requests for custom orders so don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in something I have already sold, an alternation to something I have already made/have not sold or something that I haven't made. I'm willing to make almost anything requested, within reason.

A regularly updated list of everything made to date can be found in the note section on my Facebook page . . . So if you would like something listed, as long as I haven't sold it already, I'd be happy to put it up for you to purchase!

About

I've been making plushies for a while now...

I had created some plushies as gifts for the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Michigan 3Day Route Marking team many years ago and since then they've become such a big hit that I've decided to expand my sales.

Basically, here's how it all began:
(Please note that this is the abridged version. If you want all the fine details, you can visit my FB page and check out the note titled, "How it all began.")

2008 - When I started sewing, I wanted something to go off of since I never had made “characters” before. I did a little research and came across Amish dolls. I used this as a model and created plushies without faces and I thought it was a good idea since they're not unheard of and I didn't know how to make faces on them... But apparently due to the “scariness” of the plushies without faces – I gave in to what the people wanted and I sewed eyes on them. (Mouths sewn on upon request.)

My first plushies consisted of characters from the video game Kingdom Hearts. Sadly, I have cannibalized them for parts to make newer plushies, but I still have photos of what I created as reference.

2009 - I thought it would be a fun idea to give my 3Day family plushies of themselves as gifts.

2010 - I didn't manage to give them out until this time, since I was most likely too lazy to complete them due to school or whatever. Though at the event, when I finally gave them, I managed to get custom orders out of it from other volunteers of the event!

In the meantime though, I got a few order requests and sold some of my plushies at Colossalcon's Flea Market (before they changed the rules, of course) to get some recognition and make some sales.

2011 - I sold my plushies at UBCon and didn't sell that many due to my lack of presentation at the table!

2012 - I got metal shelving and created a much better table display for UBCon again. I sold a lot more plushies that time around.

Present Day - I keep up with my sales through Etsy, Storenvy, Tumblr, Facebook and surprisingly, word of mouth, so I've grown a lot with my sewing skills and how to market my products.

Something that started off as a "random" hobby, has kept me busy over the years. I definitely wouldn't have it any other way, though!

I do it all. I get the supplies, make the plushies, take the photographs, list/sell the items, respond to inquiries and mail the purchases. I'm basically a one-woman show.

I make plushies and have been since 2008!
Every plushie is unique because I cannot replicate every exact detail. I create these plushies by hand and they are completely made of felt. They are created in an attempted pet-free and definitely smoke-free environment. Size on average is 5 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches.

I take requests if there is something I have not listed that you would like. Just message me with specifics and I will do my best to comply. A list of all my plushies that were/are made to date can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/jackies-plushies/the-master-list-of-plushies/435683333142960
