Textile design with natural colors and rust
Artist Rio Wrenn, designs and hand dyes textiles at her production dye studio in Portland, Oregon specializing in natural dyed silks. 'Since 2001, I have had a love affair with rusting and creating beauty through uncommon means. This has lead me to experiment and develop processes that extract colors and patterns from iron, plants, insects and extracts. I hope that the love I feel while creating and infusing each piece inspires you'.
