The concept for this custom order was based on the beautiful colours of rainforest frogs. The seller was as enthusiastic as I about making this idea a reality, and delivered beyond my expectations. Ria worked in lovely soft merino wool, expertly marling different colours to achieve an effect that is striking without being garish. Ria kept in touch with me throughout the process to ensure the finished product was exactly what I wanted, and was sent and packed with care. I look forward to purchasing more items from this seller in the future, and would happily engage her to make more fun and functional custom items.

Gorgeous design and colours, even nicer than the photos. The knitted fabric has a lovely soft handle. Between the materials, design and colours, this garment is very beautiful, flattering, versatile, pleasant to wear, and exceptional value for money. The seller was a pleasure to deal with, and it is a pleasure to own and wear something that was made by a passionate, skilful artisan. As if all that were not enough, sustainability is yet another desirable quality this garment delivers.

About

Sustainable knitwear and homeware designed and made in Bristol

I set up my knitwear practice in Summer 2015, after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from Batley School of Art in Yorkshire. Relocating to Bristol enabled me to set up a home studio where I create the knitwear you see in my shop. I am currently studying full time for a Masters in Textile Designn where I am exploring the use of natural dyes in my work.

Sustainability is at the core of my creative practice. The yarn I use is carefully chosen from either vintage sources, mill end stock or from British producers with the highest welfare standards. The majority of my items are made from wool - a naturally renewable fibre that is soft yet hard wearing and can even be composted when the garment finally comes to the end of its life cycle. My packaging materials are made in the UK from recyclable sources.

I use vintage knitting machines to create my garments, which are worked by hand and finished using a linking machine to ensure sturdy seams. They are then hand washed with eco friendly laundry liquid and air dried before being sent to you to ensure a soft finish.

I love custom orders, so please contact me if you have something particular in mind!
