5 out of 5 starsWhat a pretty, quality piece of pottery. It looks great under a small plant - miles better than a plastic tray.

5 out of 5 starsRDCeramics always provides high quality pieces, and the spoon rest is no different. I purchased one as a gift and the recipient might have been the most enthused anyone has ever been about a spoon rest. It really is a beautiful thing, though. Any spoon would be proud to rest upon it.

4 out of 5 starsMy mystery box was great. My husband snagged the mug as soon as it came out of the box and I love my oil jar! Beautiful glazes on well made pieces.
About RDCeramics
One of a kind functional ceramics by Ryan Durbin
Hi, my name is Ryan Durbin. I am the owner and maker for RD Ceramics. I began my exploration into creating functional pottery in 2007 during high school in Louisville, KY. I am a full-time website developer in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, but always have enjoyed focusing on creating practical & functional artwork in my spare time. I enjoy being able to hone in on my creative side by being more hands-on and really digging into the clay.
I have continued to improve and experiment within the clay medium ever since my start in 2007 by learning at various clay studios (Thrown Together, Covington Clay, Queen City Clay aka. Funke Fired Arts) and studying ceramics at Northern Kentucky University as an undergrad. After learning and experimenting with various techniques in hand-building, wheel-throwing, and firing methods from multiple mentors, I decided it was time to start selling my artwork in 2016 so others can enjoy and appreciate these unique pieces for years to come.
My work is designed to be simple, lightweight, comfortable, and appealing to the eye with my various selection of colorful glazes. I enjoy making everyday dishes, such as mugs, cups, bowls, plates, pitchers, and vases. My pottery is primarily wheel-thrown, created with white or speckled stoneware clay, and is all food, dishwasher, & microwave safe. I fire my work in an electric kiln to cone 6 (around 2232 degrees Fahrenheit) in an oxidation atmosphere.
I hope you enjoy my work for many years to come and return soon.
