These lanyards are perfect for your EDC items. This seller went the extra mile to resend new, thinner lanyards when the originals were too thick for my knives' lanyard holes. Will definitely buy from again.

Additional policies and FAQs
I personally make all of my items by hand, in a smoke-free environment, in the U.S.A.

I use only high quality Type III, 550 lb. test paracord made in the USA by U.S. military contractors.

All items are custom-made. If you would like to have something made differently from the way that it is listed, please feel free to ask me about it. I will accommodate as many custom requests as I can.

Are Ready Cords made from mil-spec paracord?

This is an issue that causes quite a bit of confusion in the paracord industry. True mil-spec paracord, which is used by the U.S. military, must satisfy MIL-C-5040 specifications, which are a strict and lengthy set of requirements for paracord manufacture. MIL-C-5040 cord is only produced in a limited number of colors. It would be prohibitively expensive for manufacturers to produce mass quantities of cord made to these specifications. Therefore, they also make similar commercial type paracord, which they offer in a variety of colors. The quality of commercial paracord can vary widely, depending on the source. At Ready Cords, I only use cord that is made in the USA, by the same contractors who supply mil-spec cord to the U.S. military. They use slightly less expensive yarns in their commercial cord, and streamline the manufacturing process to be more cost-efficient. This includes the use of two-ply core strands, instead of the three-ply strands used in mil-spec cord. Rest assured, however, that the cord you receive has still been made to very high quality control standards. It is still made from quality materials, and has a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds. The commercial cord from these manufacturers has been well-proven in the field. The bottom line is this: if you are hanging from a parachute, you probably want it strung with mil-spec paracord. For most other applications, however, the commercial cord used in Ready Cords will serve you extremely well, without fail.
