Modern Memento Mori out of Los Angeles, CA

Hi there! My name is Rebecca Emily Darling, and I've always been drawn to graphic design and the macabre. I love exploring themes of death, trauma, and grief through images that are whimsical and beautiful to look at, and that can easily fit into your modern day home.

Every detail of the prints in my shop has been painstakingly considered in order to precisely recreate the originals in both appearance and emotion. I make sure to describe the quality and texture of the papers in my listings, and to capture them in photos when possible (not all textures can be clearly photographed, but I do my best when they can be).

I will be adding more pieces gradually, so make sure to favorite my shop for updates. And if you're interested in my behind-the-scenes process, as well as sneak peeks of new works (AND regular updates about my cat, Mervyn Leedle, who is vaguely internet-famous for his unusual purr) you can follow me on Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/rebeccaemilydarling

Thank you most sincerely for taking the time to read my shop story and peep my art!

xxo,
Rebecca

Frequently asked questions
How do you pack prints for safe shipping?

Most prints are packed in a protective plastic sleeve, between two pieces of cardboard, and inside a rigid mailer to ensure they cannot be bent and will arrive safely. Prints that are 16x20 in or above will be shipped rolled in a sturdy shipping tube to provide the level of protection they need.

Are your prints archival?

Yes! They are printed in archival ink on archival quality paper.

Do you accept illustration commissions?

I do! If you have something in mind, send me a message and let's chat about it! :)

Are you for hire for graphic design?

I do not do coding, but I do create design work for hire. Before contacting me with an inquiry, please understand that I utilize handcrafted elements in each one of my graphic collage designs, spend hours and hours on them, and my design work is expensive. If you are looking for a cheap designer, that won't be me.

Are your packing materials eco friendly?

All of the packing materials I use, except for the shipping labels themselves, are biodegradable. Even the protective "plastic" sleeves that the prints come in are made from plants!

What about exchanges and returns?

As each item is printed to order, I cannot accept exchanges or returns. However, if you have any problem at all with your order, please message me before leaving a review so we can discuss a solution. Your happiness is genuinely important to me!
