I did not expect to take up crochet. I admired the baby blanket a friend was making (her fingers moved so fast I could not see exactly what she was doing) and I was fascinated with her skill. The next thing I knew she had a crochet hook and yarn in my hands. I did not think I could do it and was sure it was hopeless for me to try. She patiently helped me. I have always appreciated her taking the time to teach me. Thanks, Millie W!! I don't know what I would have done without this hobby!!

Real yarn is incredible stuff. Not Hobby Lobby yarn, although there is a place for mass marketed yarn. Go into a yarn store and see what I mean for yourself. They are usually very small shops, tucked away in a corner somewhere. But its worth checking out! Addictive fibers!!

After I had botched foot surgery, I was unable to walk much. So I started crocheting A LOT. Friends encouraged me to sell my work, and after a lot of confusion and button pushing, I now have Etsy and a Facebook page up and running.

My name is Rebecca. For all of my life people have remarked on my somewhat unusual speaking accent. So I put the two together, and that is my shop name: RebeccasAccents. Plus, everyone needs fashion "accents." So there you go.

I have just opened a second Etsy shop and will be adding to inventory all the time. Here is the link to that "about" page:

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to convo me. I would love to hear from you!!
