The name ReCurrents reflects the reciprocity of humankind and the sea, and the vision of an ocean made clean by a worldwide effort to reduce, reuse, recycle and recreate.
Unlike shells that you find in souvenir shops and craft stores, all shells used in ReCurrents keepsakes are ethically collected, meaning I do not collect live shells and no ocean creatures are harmed.
I handcraft each ReCurrents item from seashells, sea glass, fossils and other treasures that I collect on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Because each find is unique, every ReCurrents item is different!
ReCurrents is an eco-minded business. All orders are packaged using post-consumer recycled materials and shipped using USPS ground advantage, which leverages fuel-efficient land networks rather than air transportation to reduce carbon emissions. ReCurrents also supports local conservation efforts in Coastal North Carolina, including the Wrightsville Beach Sea Turtle Project, Surfrider Foundation and Plastic Ocean Project.
