About RedCurlJewelry

Jewelry lover, Busy lady, Mom Boss

-- What is Red Curl Jewelry --
Hi - I'm Joanne and I make all the silver handmade jewelry at Red Curl Jewelry. I love jewelry - always have. I am also a busy mom boss with a business, a husband, 2 kiddos, & 2 cats. Which means that my jewelry has to take whatever life throws at it while making me feel great. That is the driving force behind each piece of jewelry I make. I want to make it easier for busy women to get that polished feeling jewelry can bring.

Every piece of jewelry I make, I prototype and give what I call the "wear test". This ensures that each piece is comfortable and sturdy. If it can withstand lady boss/silversmith/mom life, it can take whatever your busy life throws at it. All while being easy to grab a piece to throw on making you confident in your look for the day.

-- Who am I --
Yeah, so I love jewelry. Being a bit of a skill collector, I thought "I wonder if I can make my own?" So I did... and things just kinda got out of hand. I went from mucking around a bit making myself lovely things, to making family and friends lovely things… and then in 2007, I did a craft fair. And so here we are 12 years and a couple of pauses for children later, I have an Etsy store for my silver handmade jewelry. Pretty lucky, frankly.

My studio is in my home in Seattle, Washington and is where I try to spend as much of the time I am not working at the computer or being mom, as possible.

Oh and that name - I have red curly hair. Well, mostly red... there is silver slipping in these days.

P.S.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Yes, I do both customization and personalization. If you see something that is almost perfect, message me and we can figure out together how to make it perfect for you.

Care instructions

Unless specifically stated in a piece description, everything here is .925 sterling silver. This makes my jewelry pretty easy to care for; here are some tips to keep yours bright:

1) Take your jewelry off to shower, swim, clean, use a hot tub... Basically, if you wouldn't want your phone in your hand, you probably don't want your jewelry there either.

2) Put it away. I know, I know. The last thing you want to think about at the end of the day, but putting your silver away in a dry place will help it retain it's shine (*cough* if you've seen my insta you know I am not good at this step *cough*).

3) Rub it down occasionally with a soft polishing cloth.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I ship every order in simple gift wrap.
