Redcurlzs loves vintage

I started out flipping through the pages of my mom's fashion magazines almost when I started to walk. Later as a young woman in the 1980s I dreamed of wearing everything from Ralph Lauren to the sophisticated Chanel suits and, since they were a little..well...a lot expensive, I learned to sew! Some of my favourite patterns to work with are simple in design and easy to sew. I also enjoy experimenting with different types of fabrics and found objects to create some interesting pieces.

At Redcurlzs you will find a collection of vintage and modern sewing, knitting and craft patterns as well as other sewing related items. All of the sewing patterns are original and not PDFs.

I am easy to work with and aim to please so, if you have any questions, requests or concerns, it is best to contact me through Etsy Conversations, and I'll do my best to work things out.

I love to get positive feedback and look forward to your comments. Please remember that the feedback is for the shop and customer service etc, not necessarily about the pattern(s) you chose. While I do enjoy hearing about the results of your projects, I am not responsible for their difficulty or poor directions.

If you are, for some reason, unhappy with your purchase, please let me know before leaving feedback so that I have an opportunity to work it out with you.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads

Returns and exchange details
***Cancellation of an order can be done if the item has not been shipped. There will be a processing charge of $1.50 that will not be refunded. Once an item has been shipped, the order can not be cancelled.

Vintage and modern patterns have, in large part, been cut and used. We check each pattern and note in the listing if there are any missing pieces as well as the condition of the envelope. Because of their age, many of the enveloped are discolored, brittle, splitting at sides and fragile. Some are bent, crumpled, stamped, and have tape, stickers or sticky remnants.
Most of oue listings have a picture of the back of the envelope. Please zoom in on these pictures to see details of level of difficulty, fabric requirements and sizes. If you don't see the information, please ask so that you know fully what you will be getting.

With other vintage items, We make every effort to describe each item accurately and in detail but can make mistakes. Please send me a message if you have any questions before placing your order. If we have made an error in the listing, please let ua know within 2 to 3 days and we will consider a refund. All returns are subject to prior approval and will be considered on an individual basis. We will issue a refund when the item is safely returned and in it’s original condition.
We aim for 100% satisfaction. If you feel we have misrepresented an item or made an error, please let us know in advance of providing feedback so that we may see if the situation can be rectified
Redcurlzs accepts Paypal and Etsy Direct (which includes Gift Certificates)

If you would like to combine orders with more than one purchase, the shipping fees will be adjusted in your check out cart. This is easier with like items such as patterns, so I will provide estimates on request. Any overpayments, above costs, will be credited to you.
I ship orders out within 1-3 business days after payment has been confirmed. (not including weekends and holidays).

Please check to make sure that your address is correct on Paypal and Etsy to prevent non deliveries. I will resend patterns that are returned however it will be at the cost of the customer.

Patterns are sent by regular Canada Post delivery. Expected delivery times are;
Canada 1-2 weeks (5 to 10 Business Days)
U.S. 1-3 weeks (5 to 15 Business Days)
International 2-4 weeks (5 to 21 Business Days)

NOTE:*OVERSEAS SHIPPING - Paper mail under 500 is sent by standard paper mail. Orders that are thicker or heavier are shipped as a package via Air-mail, which does not offer tracking. If you would like tracking, please choose the Tracked Packet shipping upgrade in Checkout OR contact us and we will provide you with a quote.
*Unless you opt for a trackable shipping method, we unfortunately cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Standard paper mail (Sewing patterns / Knitting Patterns / magazines etc as well as some small items such as scarves and hankies) does not include tracking and insurance. Please request this via message to the shop if you would like these options

For Canada and U.S. Other items - and larger orders of patterns - will be sent by small or light package, parcel post, expedited, surface or air post. These include a customs declaration from stating the contents and their value.

I try to be as economical as possible with my packaging in order to save costs and for environmental reasons. If you have any special requests please let me know at the time of your purchase.

Please Check That Your Etsy and Paypal Addresses are Correct. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide their correct address. If you provide an incorrect address, non-delivery/lost mail may occur; read our refund policy. We are not responsible for items lost in the mail. Tracking and insurance must be requested and paid for separately in order to receive a "refund" for items lost in transition.

--If an envelope comes back to us unclaimed or returned due to an incorrect address on the Paypal & Etsy invoices, or refusal to pay customs fees, we will not refund the original shipping fees. The buyer then has the choice of paying for reshipping, or a refund of item price only. Item and envelope must be un-altered, not opened, in original condition. If it is our error, we will make it right.

Redcurlzs is not responsible for postal delivery delays or delays caused by U.S.A or International Customs. Customers are responsible for any fees, taxes, duties charged by their government for importing their parcel(s) or envelope(s). VAT is not included in our prices as we are in Canada
