Announcement Thank you for stopping by my shop. All my things are made with my own two hands. With so many amazing farms in my area it isn't hard to incorporate local fiber in my spinning as often as possible. I do my best to make sure none of my fiber comes from abused or mistreated animals. Whenever possible I will add a vintage doo dad, clasp or button to finish off a woven, sewn or quilted piece. I hope you are pleased with what you find here.

About reddogyarn
This shop is part of a lifelong journey that still presents its twist and turns regularly.
As I look back it seems that I have dabbled in so many crafts and art forms, some fleeting some lasting. From drawing and painting to quilting and stitchery and, more recently, fiber arts I have truly enjoyed the journey. Each medium taught me what it needed to to speak in its own voice and then allow me to grow and explore the new possibilities it presented. When I found fiber arts and more specifically the idea of spinning wool I was immediately smitten and I've never looked back. I am a member of my local spinning guild and with them I feel I am a part of a family that understands me. The guild offers a collective wealth of knowledge that keeps me hungry to learn all I can about spinning wool.
In the coming months I hope the expand what I offer at Red Dog Yarn to include prepped raw fiber, carded batts, rolags and more for your spinning pleasure, as well as some hand woven projects using my own hand spun fiber.
The name Red Dog Yarn pays tribute to one of my partners in crime my Red Dog Seamus. He is always there to listen to my rants, never refuses my need to get out of doors and is an all around great companion. My other partner is Kevin my husband whose steadfast support and patients in this endeavor has allowed me to move forward with something I have been dreaming about for far too long.

Sam Bova
Owner, Fiber Enthusiast
I have been creating for as long as I can remember. When I was very young my medium of choice was my box of Crayola crayons. As a grown woman I have swapped crayons for fiber and fabric. If I'm not creating I'm probably out walking my red dog Seamus.
