About

Always learning new craft skills :0)

I am craft mad !! and have an artistic background having worked in advertising agency as an artist/designer.
I taught myself to make jewellery by watching instructional Youtube videos. I had great fun collecting together all the tools and supplies I needed to get started.
I have also sold at a local Christmas Craft Fair and was very successful :0)
For the last 6 years I have been teaching myself the skills I need to transform unwanted furniture into stylish up cycled pieces.
Most of my spare time (as I work full time as a university Administrator) is now spent painting furniture, but I still keep my hand in at jewellery making, especially during the winter months when it is too cold to go out to the workshop to paint !

I have a background in design - worked as an artist in an ad agency for 10yrs, and have also run my own cake decorating business. I work full time as a University Administrator, but in my spare time I enjoy sourcing unwanted furniture and turn them into unique statement pieces. I mainly use eco friendly Annie Sloan paints and waxes, but I love trying new techniques.
Check out my blog to see the transformations with step by step pics.
