5 out of 5 starsI absolutely love this spoon rest. It's size is perfection😊. It was packaged very well and made it safely all the way to my little slice of Hawaii. I will most certainly check out other items in this shop.

5 out of 5 starsI love my honey pot. It's beautifully made. I ordered the royal blue. I'm a little bummed mine seems much darker than the picture of the royal blue one. I realize color will vary a bit since each piece is unique, but it's a lot darker. It's still a great piece and I love using my honey 🍯. (My honey stick in the picture is not the one that comes with it)

Lost in a sea of Pottery!
Future Archaeological Relics
In 1982 Redstone Pottery was founded by my father Robert Nothhouse. He had no technical training in ceramics, no degree from a fancy university. After a weekend course in ceramics, he decided to dedicate his time to developing his craft. He designed his own wheel, slab roller and pug mill from spare parts that he picked up at a junkyard. He tediously worked to design and perfect the signature glazes for which he would become recognized. Robert also mined and processed all of the clay from his home in the one-hundred-and-two river valley in Savannah, MO. For 30 years he traveled throughout the midwest selling his beautiful art to support his family at art and craft festivals.
I was born in 1984, the day after my birth, my Dad was at an artshow. As a young girl growing up in Missouri, it seemed only natural to be surrounded by large amounts of clay. I would come out to visit my dad's workshop and squish clay around in my hands. I loved making fun "sculptures" that my dad was sweet enough to fire for me. Clay was always a part of my life.I grew up traveling with my family to artshows and festivals on the weekends. This is what everyone's family life is like, right? It was an incredible way to grow up! It taught me so many valuable lessons about hard work, determination, and as my dad always called it "character building"
Little did i know that i would one day return home to study ceramics with my Dad. I am so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him. He taught me how to throw on the wheel, process clay, and most importantly how to create his 6 one of a kind glazes. In a world where so little is truly created by hand. It feels wonderful to be connected to my craft from "cradle to grave" Each piece is made with love, knowing that my dad's creativity and passion will live on.

Gretchyn Loveslife
Owner, Maker, Designer, Curator, Life Lover, Mudslinger
I love creating things by hand and i LOVE people who love my creations. I am grateful to carry on my father's pottery traditions. When I'm not throwing pots like a mad woman, you can find me on the dance floor, strumming a ukulele or sawing a fiddle.
