About

Life has ups and downs. Fleece often makes it better.

I discovered after my first year of grad school that I was utterly miserable. I was also considerably in debt, so quitting wasn’t an option. Instead, I began creating with my sewing machine. The rhythm of cutting out so, so, so many circles, of piecing them together, of sewing long, straight rows was soothing and brought me sanity. I received positive feedback on my creations, so I opened up on Etsy - Foturnately.Unfortunately by ReeesaT.

I don’t believe I’ve ever completely outgrown childhood. (My shop is named after a hysterically wonderful child’s picture book.) I’m drawn to bright colors and soft fabrics. I personally hug every single pillow, to ensure maximum “squishy-ness.” My favorite thing to do is add the eyes to the Zibits. It’s still remarkable to me that people out there, people who don’t know me, like my creations enough to purchase them.

I’m long out of grad school now, but creating pillows, plush monsters, scarves, pouches, etc., etc., etc, still has a soothing quality and still keeps me sane. I’m so pleased I can share my creations with the world!

I hope you enjoy my shop. And remember, life has ups and downs. Fleece often makes it betters.

XOXO,
ReeesaT
