Frequently asked questions
Why do the prices range so much between some hand warmers?

I want people to have a great experience with all the hand warmers I make, therefore I avoid cheap materials and anything you see in my shop should be high quality. That said, there are a lot of factors that affect the cost of different pairs of hand warmers. For example, the cost of materials are higher for fabrics made of natural fibers like cotton, while costs are lower if I am able to purchase fabrics in bulk for styles that sell more frequently. I’m also glad I am able to offer a variety of options for people who have different price points.

Are these hand warmers meant for outdoor or indoor use?

The primary purpose of these hand warmers is for indoor use while typing or using a computer mouse or other activities with your hands. They’ll still work for outdoor-use in mild weather. The design gives you a full range of movement of your fingers which means that the fabric is not covering or restricting your fingers, so the provided insulation is meant for mild temperatures where your wrist warmth helps your body maintain its own finger warmth and is not going to keep your fingers warm in winter outdoor weather.

What makes these gloves different from medical gloves for arthritis or carpal tunnel?

The key feature of my gloves (that is different from gloves with a direct medical purpose) is that they are designed with a shorter, angled edge to keep your fingers unrestricted when you use them, particularly for typing. Simply keeping your hands warm may help with repetitive strain injury, achey wrists, and other discomfort and these gloves can help you do that without restricting your fingers while you work. While these hand warmers may not be the end-all solution for hand and wrist health, they are an easy way to make a significant difference for some people.

I see that these hand warmers don’t cover my fingers, will they still help keep my fingers warm?

It is common knowledge that if you keep your core warm, your body is better able to keep your extremities warm. In the same way, by keeping your palms and your wrists warm, your body will be able to maintain warmth in your fingers better. The glove design does not cover the fingers to strike the right balance between warmth and freedom of motion for your fingers, especially for typing.
