5 out of 5 starsThis review has been edited.
Initially I didn't receive my order, and was mostly concerned that my messages were receiving no response. However, she contacted me as soon as she saw that I hadn't received my items, and it turned out she hadn't been getting any of my messages. She graciously resent them.
Now, about the jar cozies--they are PERFECT for wide mouth pint jars. I haven't used a regular mug since receiving them. They also are great on the road. We were travelling for the last several days, and they kept our "mason mugs" from clanking around in our bags. A 16 oz jar = a medium at most coffee places, so they saw a lot of use.
Finally, if you have granite or stone counters, I can't recommend them enough. They quiet the jar without making it unstable. Love them, and will be buying more. -

3 out of 5 starsI received my item nearly two months later. It is nicely made and I like it but waiting that long doesn't bode well for me. The shop owner did write back to me quickly when I let them know of my concern after waiting one month already.

Thank you for your review and your praise of our product. As for the shipping issue, we can't be held responsible for errors made by shipping companies especially during a potential shipping strike situation. Several attempts were made to get our customer this product - we shipped several out free of charge. This is an unfortunate situation that we tried to resolve in a timely manner. We're sad that it took longer then usual and are taking this up with Canada Post directly.

Up-cycled eco friendly products
Hi, my name is Adrienne and l'm the designer and owner behind ReFluff. I created this company to satisfy the need for eco friendly products that have a fine made by hand quality and that are made from combining new textiles with up-cycled material and notions. I currently reside and run my business in Toronto Canada and share my studio space with my Husband who is a screen printer and my cat Sterling that we rescued from a shelter.
I have been sewing since the age of 6, am formally educated and trained in fashion design, tailoring and costume design, have been fortunate to make costumes for the performing arts (ballet, theatre, opera) as well as the film industry. Both of my grandmothers were sewers along with my mother so I grew up surrounded by textiles and creative sewers.
Over the years l have worked with a vast assortment of rare exotic fabrics all the way down to hand woven organic cotton and have always loved taking odd parings and working with them to create a symbiotic combination. I don't believe that a type of fabric is limited to a singular purpose. This belief carries over to my interest in up-cycling / rescuing textiles that have been deemed useless and giving them a new function and lease on life. I tend to look for the opportunities and possibilities vs the flaws.
It's my policy that every ReFluff product must contain at least 50% upcycled content and when possible be combined with organic or sustainable material. I'm currently using RPET thread which is made from plastic bottles but behaves like a cotton/poly thread. The up cycled content in my products come from various sources such as: fabric swatches, second hand clothing, interior furnishing items as well as designer offcuts that would normally be sent to landfill but are perfectly viable. Too much textile waste currently resides in our landfills and l'm proud to be redirecting some into new and useful items.
I'm very much looking forward to the future of my business. I have plans of developing my own textile prints and working with my husband to print them in house, creating new products and bringing them to market, and hunting down new off-cut sources. I would love to open a brick and mortar in a few years so l can be on site to engage and interact with my customers, and to offer classes for those who want to learn to sew. I will always be in debt to Etsy for this opportunity and how it allowed me to sell my products in a creative market place without the huge overhead. It It's been a fantastic journey so far and l very much look forward to the future and where it takes my business.
